WOW! I can save $50 on the map upgrade. I can get an already outdated map for a mere $99. What a deal.

Seriously, with Andriod Auto's connectivity to Gmaps and Waze, why would we even bother?

From what I understand the built-in nav is significantly better in the 2024s. Maybe it'll be worth it to pay for outdated maps?
My 2024 maps seem to be up to date. I have yet to find an issue.

There's a sucker born every minute.

Yup ... same outdated maps, even on the 2024's leaving the factory today..

No way is it a wise move to pay for a UConnect map update..

If a guy or gal wants up to the minute, updated maps, go with Google Maps or Waze.

Years ago, I was a Garmin fanboy.... and was for many years....but today, Garmin is laughable at best, unfortunately.

I'm fairly sure it's outdated by the time it's built.

One of the roads in my neighborhood went from one way to two way a few weeks ago. I quickly put that change into Google and now Google and Waze are correct. From what I understand you'll see that change in 2+ years...if you're willing to fork out a Ben Franklin+ for it.

And yes, I frequently update Google maps with details like that. The most significant change cut about five miles off the route due to how the DOT changed a major interstate intersection in Denver.

In my opinion, it's really not the maps that's the problem, it's the dang 1980's style stick figure map *display* GUI that needs an update. If they could change that with an update I'd pay for it.

I never upgrade. But I do like my GPS. I use it but the places we go r generally there. So our phones do great if we can’t find something but most time the built in GPS is fine

I love the maps on my 2024 Rubicon X 4Xe. Large screen makes navigation so easy and living in an urban area where large multi-thousand home communities are always springing up.... my maps are always 100% up to date. I do not have to wonder when Google will update their maps or how far behind WAZE is. Tom Tom maps are always up to date, clear, and concise. Sure I pay for it... because it is quality for mere pennies.
