I bought the Thor's Lightening setup. Hate the name but the compressor works really fast and the 4 tire fill up is about 4-5 minutes. That's from 15psi to 35psi. Best part is that you set the PSI for the fill so you don't have to constantly watch it.

I love how 20 vendors found the manufacturer of the Napa Maxi Trac, and not one managed to make it look better.

I've been planning for a while to install my EZ-Flate M.O.A.B. compressor in the rear underfloor storage area. I previously removed the rear seats and built a full length platform, which because of the 4xe battery is elevated 3" over the cargo floor. This gives extra headroom for the compressor, as well as room for electrical wiring.

The MOAB didn't have a pressure switch, so I installed one, and rotated the foot so it sits horizontally. It draws 90 amps, so I have a 2 AWG cable running from the battery to a fuse/distribution block. I still need to fabricate a panel for the air chuck and switch.

I've also got room for an aux battery, converter, and solar controller if I decide to add those. The other wiring on the right is for Auxbeam 8 gang swich panel, KC Chase bar controller, and roof lighting.

American Adventure Lab’s under seat mount and air chuck bracket. I chose driver’s side, and didn’t go with a multi hose setup because I also tow an off road camper often so I also air up/down the trailer tires plus rear suspension air bags.

I really like this setup. I will probably at some point built out an all in one system with a rear air chuck for the trailer stuff, but I’m not in a hurry. I’ve been around friends with dual compressors and the four tire inflate stuff and it seems like I air up nearly as fast as them. They finish a minute or two quicker but then spend that time putting away all the hoses so I feel like it’s a wash.

Where I think the four tire setup has the advantage is airing down. They air down much much quicker than I do.

i'd go with a single under the hood if someone can show me how/where they fit one. the behind-the-taillight option is interesting, but would be concerned about heat build-up while it's running in that confined a space.
need to look into the under-the-floor thing with the same concern, and look into how protected it would be from trail contamination.

we use the back for far too many things to mount anything back there; bikes, dogs, people, camping gear,.. and i also don't want anything hanging out in the breeze when it's topless.

putting it under the passenger seat seems like it might be my only option, even though i'm not enthusiastic about having it inside the passenger space while it's running, and i was hoping to use that space to mount a transceiver (as i did with a previous J**p).

thanks for all the help so far, all; good food for thought!
I have the dual under my driver seat. It really isn’t loud in my opinion. My wife usually kicks back inside while I air up and she says it doesn’t bother her at all.

I went with the Thor's Compressor and 4 tire setup. Pretty happy with how fast it deflates/inflates.

Knock off ARB, mounted in the rear with the MORE mount, DIY 4 Tire inflate system. I actually have since switched the hoses around since, because I built it for a different configuration.

My setup, in the compartment under the trunk mat and activate it with one of the aux switches, with air lines to both front and read bumper. Use a speedflate from the front most of the time, it's a nice setup as I can be inside the car monitoring the air pressure from the built-in tire pressure monitor. It's come very handy when it's very hot, very cold, or raining since I can be inside the Jeep with the doors closed while it's running.

Had it done at Rebel Offroad in Orange County and worth every penny.

I installed this panel, https://www.molle-platform-solution...-jeep-wrangler-rear-overhead-molle-panel-tray then mounted my ARB Dual compressor on that unit. I ran the hose and wiring inside the panels and put the connector outside hanging under the rear bumper between the hitch mount and the electrical connector. Those units protect the connector from being hit. I use the remaining space on the molle panel shelf to store my air up equipment, such as the four tire air up kit.

Gotta love airing up all four 38's from 12psi to 32psi in under 5min. The hose and all the air tools fit in a bag which lives over the rear wheel well underneath the Power tank mounting bracket and behind the rear seat.

The airing up advantage is there is no fiddling around with getting the pressure to match in all tires.
Eh, I’ve got the timing down pretty well now. I don’t doubt there’s ease of use in the situation you describe, and I will likely incorporate a four tire setup at some point. I like the idea of hard lines to each wheel well so I only have a short piece of hose to couple on each tire.

Asking for further details on your pressure switch, sounds nice!

I originally put my ARB dual in the same compartment, and ran into the unit shutting down due to over heating. Check your ventilation. I have since moved it out of that compartment.
