We bought a dual air compressor from NAPA. I want to use the Rusty's Offroad mounting plate which is designed for the ARB, but modify it to fit the NAPA if needed. My concern is the heat off the compressor. Does anyone have this setup with the ARB? Does the cubby get pretty hot? Any issues I should be aware of? Thanks!

AAL has a similar bracket and they note that there won't be enough airflow with the cargo floor on top. They have a plate system that leaves enough of a gap to keep the compressor cool down there.

Good to know! I assumed the gap between the floor and the cubby would be enough. The AAL mount looks a lot like the Rusty's. I looked at the AAL but I don't see the plate system. Does it mount above the compressor on the floor or on the bottom of the rear deck lid?

Sorry for my confusion, I was referring to their MASS storage platform. I don't have it, but it looks like it sits about an inch higher than the OEM floor, so that would allow much more air to reach the cubby than the solid OEM floor.

No problem... I'm going to keep the airflow concern in mind when I do this.
Thanks for the input!

I’m curious if the
NAPA or Thors dual compressor will fit in the rear cubby? Size wise? I don’t have a problem open the back or raising the mat. Just wanting to know before buying one or going with a different setup. Can the input be plumbed out to fresh air like the ARB dual can be with the AAL setup?

I have the AAL. I always leave the lid open or propped up when I use the compressor so it doesn’t over heat. I also added a .6 gallon tank

How do you like the tank? I’ve thought about adding one somewhere underneath. I use my compressor to blow all the saw dust I get all over me constantly and it'd be nice to have a reserve.

I have the NAPA version of the dual compressor. If you take the metal plate off the bottom that serves as a foot for the compressor I think it would technically fit, but having used it a few times to fill up all 4 tires, there's no way I'd put it under the floor all covered up. The compressor gets quite toasty running for 5-10 minutes.

I saw somebody made a mount to install the dual compressor by the drivers side rear cargo window - that could be an option. Other than that, I can't figure out where you could feasibly mount this compressor, except for under the jeep where the 4xe's put the battery. It's not a huge compressor, but it's not small enough to fit in any of the nooks and crannies.

I have a stereo setup in my Jeep. I pot DS18 speaker boxes on each of the rear wheel wells otherwise I’d just mount the compressor there. As long as I opened the back and raised the mat when running the compressor I do t think it would get too hot? Thoughts?
