Long overdue but thanks to @Gregj and @rohdawg !!!

Got the wifes Uconnect system upgraded.

Parts needed were: 7 inch Uconnect Screen, bezel, HVAC controls, cabin air temp sensor, and JScan to enable the control stack. Although the dual climate controls do not work, everything else works well!

No flashing. When I first installed it the climate control button was on there but it went away a few minutes later. But my ac controls are not digital so I’m not to worried. I ordered it from a Jeep dealership. 734.00 and another 42.00 for the Sirius antenna.
This is what I did. I am slowly getting used to the steering wheel controls. I am thinking of going with a new HVAC panel but I am not sure if I will need a Tazer mini for the heat and fan controls on the screen to work. I don't think I want to go down that rabbit hole yet. Thoughts?

You will need a Tazer or JSCAN to activate the new HVAC control panel.

Thanks for the reply. Sorry for the newb question but I am a bit new to this - I would just need a Jscan to activate it, then I wouldn't need it anymore for this purpose?..

OK great but this sounds almost too easy. I have a 2018 JLU sport and I have seen all sorts of posts that say I will need a temperature sensor as well for the dual climate control. Can you foresee me needing anything else?... Thanks again!

I will need a temperature sensor as well for the dual climate control.
Keep in mind that when you add the new climate control stack, you won't get true dual climate control. The climate must be adjusted using the driver’s side controls only. It is recommended to utilize the “SYNC” button so the driver’s side temperature and passenger’s side temperature are the same. So it is up to you as to whether or not you feel you need the temp sensors.

I believe it is a temp sensor and a sun sensor. 95% of Jeeps are pre-wired for the cabin temperature sensor and sun sensor. If your Jeep is not pre-wired then you will need to purchase a kit like this - https://infotainment.com/shop/interior-accessories/climate-control-dash-panels/c-kitacc-dt_1/

So you did not order the climate module?
Sorry for the newb question but what exactly is the "climate module"? I went from the 5" to the 7" and want to upgrade the HVAC panel but want to make sure I understand all of the parts and components. TY!

I believe that refers to the new climate control stack/panel.

If you have a Sport S it should be prewired for the cabin temp sensor.
You’ll have to remove the kick panel underneath the steering wheel to check.

With the correct center stack, the cabin temp sensor and the upgraded sun sensor the “auto” climate controls work very well.
Like @jludave said - the driver and passenger controls do not work independently of each other. Using the “sync” feature on the screen is the way to go.

I’m very happy with the way this all turned out. I had no intention of adding the climate controls, but I’m glad I did.

EDIT - I went from the 5” -> 7” -> 8.4” adding the climate controls to the 8.4”.

Just ask @cosine he knows!
I know it's buried in here somewhere, just wondering if someone has the part #s handy that will work for a 2019 Sport S (already have the 7" Uconnect w/ Sirius antenna) for the HVAC control section and the associated sensors and any additional parts to get full function from the HVAC stack. And approx costs for getting it all together going through used sources.
TIA :)

Here is an HVAC control for an automatic without heated seats and wheel.

This one is left over from my “adding heated seats and wheel” project on the Bosses Jeep.
