To be honest, rcadden, I really haven't used my stock (halogen) fog lights yet, except to try them out once, briefly, at night, and admittedly they did not seem to make much difference. But I wasn't in fog at the time, LOL.
Yeah it was only after I changed to the LED fogs.

I was going to go into JScan and set it up so that my fogs don't turn off when my brights come on, but after getting flashed so much, I think I'll wait.

Sure your headlights aren’t just aimed incorrectly? I’ve never been flashed with my fogs on even when I changed them to LEDs from the stock halogen.

I mean, I'm not 100% sure, but based on how they installed, I don't think fogs can be aimed.

My headlights haven't been touched from the factory, and I *never* get flashed when I *only* use my headlights. It's only if I've got the fogs on at the same time, and only since I swapped to LED.

Not ruling it out, just saying it'd be pretty weird, given they haven't been touched.

No when I was fiddling with the brackets for installing fogs unless you put some washers or something for the bracket itself it can’t be aimed. I guess it could be clocked inside the housing strangely and causing a weird pattern to come out.

Weird experience for sure, I definitely got some flashes after switching to LED bulbs on my headlights, but I aimed them down for the lift to the correct spec from factory, they’re just much brighter than the halogens, and I can’t help when I come up/down a hill lol.

I run the Oracle Oculus Bi-LED switchbacks. I like that the Amber Halo blinks in sequence with the fender turn signal. It sets my JL apart from others.

@blnewt will tell you to go buy the scratch and dent Rough Country 9" LEDS on eBay when they come up for sale. They are less than $200. I think he is on to something.

Do you know, can you set those headlights to always have the amber halos on instead of switching back to white when they are not blinking?

I don't want to get off topic here, but Stellantis is not the only company that charges for paint.

This should come as a surprise to no one.
Oh I know that. What's burns my ass is that people just accept it and say, Oh Well.
Like 12 oz bacon packs and 1.5 quart Ice Cream tubs.

Both of which have been 16oz and 2 Quarts since forever. First they shrink the size at the same price, then raise the price.

On the colors, I could see making short runs significantly higher because there are idiots who would pay it to appear "better" than others.

I've never had LED head lights. I ordered the stock halogens on my Jeep and thought I might swap to an LED bulb if I wasn't happy with the throw.

Anybody with LED lights have a problem with snow accumulating on them in winter? Is that a thing?

I'll let you know after another month or so!

So far, we've just had two dustings, not enough to matter.

i noticed it quite a bit the two, two! Times it snowed in Memphis the last couple years. It really liked the build up in the recessed lights. It’s why I’m considering the move to heated oracles for a move up north lol.

The heated oracle oculus ones were plug and play with no flashing and the outside melts snow and ice and are night vs day over the crappy candles you ordered with it.
Was 600 beans last year when they came out and our first upgrade on pinkey as it was dangerous at night with the front candles Jeep installed for us
We had never owned a car with such poor lighting and our cars went way before halogens
Plug and play and since your in Wisconsin - Heated Oracle Oculus !!! ?

The question I have is, with the LEDs, are people encountering ice freezing on the lens? I'm probably going to go with Oracle and I'm not sure if it's worth it to go with the heated ones or not. I had LEDs on my Subaru and never had a problem in 4 years. I lived in WI, ID, and CO through winters too. The Jeep headlight is a different shape though so who knows.

If I just read two freaking posts up... I can answer my questions I guess.... sheesh Amateur hour over here I guess.

Sounds like I'm getting the heated ones as people do experience ice build up.
