I recently purchased a set of auxbeam f16 LED bulbs for my JLU. I’ve used auxbeam before and was happy with them in my Silverado.
however, they ultimately did not work in my Jeep.
#1 the bulbs couldn’t be seated into the light housing. Due to the gasket on the light housing and the bulb not compressing enough
#2 after modifications to make them fit (removing seal). I discovered the bulbs wouldn’t sit correctly inside the reflector. The led emitters would not be perpendicular to the ground, therefore would produce an uneven light pattern
#3 the bulbs wouldnot plug into the harness, it seems the pins were off center by approximately 1/16 of an inch
Considering all 3 of those isssues I decided not to use the auxbeam bulbs. While I would love to use LED, I’ll stay halogen for now.
