So I picked up my new '22 JLU a couple of weeks ago. Last week, I took off the hard top to install the soft top. It was then that I realized they had given me the tan soft top, instead of the black one, as indicated on the window sticker and build sheet.
I've been in touch with the dealership, but not much response besides "we're trying to find you a black one"
Any advice?

If you've reached out to the dealership and they've acknowledged that you received the wrong one and you have documentation indicating that you received the wrong one, then I think you just need to give them some time to source the correct one.

Doesn't sound like they're fighting you on it, just takes time these days to get certain things.

Mine is Sting gray with all black accents (wheels, badging, etc.) So tan doesn't really fit

Tan and sting gray sound bad on paper, but I saw one the other day and it looked great. Added warmth to the too cool gray. I understand it's not what you wanted/ordered though.

I would have traded if it were a two door, but I now have a hard top and like it better so far.

I like the tan tops, reminds me of the iconic 90’s/2000’s Sahara trim. But these days the only colors that go with it IMO are Snazz, White, Sarge.

I have a Sting Gray, and wanted so much for it to look good but it just doesn’t.

If your sticker states black, drive back to the dealer and demand that they swap it out with another one out of a new vehicle they have on the lot. If they don't have one on the lot, they can trade vehicles with another dealership to get one. Why should you have to wait for the right color to come in? You are a low priority to them as long as you have already bought the vehicle and have it sitting at your house. Summer is almost up!

It’s not like the lots are full of Wranglers. Most dealers have only a handful, if they have any at all. Dealer stock Wranglers almost never have a dual top package.

Personally, I don't think it works with the gray. Since it's their mistake and they're fine with swapping it out, I'd check in weekly to make sure it stays on their radar and in the meantime you've got a functioning top even if it doesn't look the best. Demanding that they find one immediately is not going to go well. In the end, it's a cosmetic issue, not a mechanical one.

If a tan top had been an option on the Reign 2-door I ordered I would have seriously considered it, then gone with the tan interior as well.
