Wow, I thought I was unique. Where are you? What's even crazier, since I made this post, I called Jeep's national hotline and got a really nice person who told me the car was sitting in a lot and had never shipped. I didn't tell the dealer I knew this but the next conversation I had I acted as if it had never shipped and would you know it, he changed his tune and then said, conveniently, that it shipped that night and would be here any day. He promised, again, by end of the month. I don't know what to think anymore, or if I should start looking for a different car.
@Luka822 I'm closing in on 8 weeks now. I am in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Last week, we (dealer and I) thought it finally made it in. I went to see it, but it was covered in a lot of plastic protection materials and blocked in somewhat by other inventory. Looked ok, from what I could see. I was excited that it was finally here for me.
I got a call from the dealer the next day informing me that there was an error and the Willys that showed up wasn't mine, just a close twin. Wrong VIN apparently. So here I sit wondering if the Wrangler will ever surface from the black hole it currently resides in. For my troubles, I will be getting an upgrade to the Rubicon KO2's instead of the M/T that the Willys is normally equipped with. That hardly makes up for the ups and downs of the last 60 days, though. The lack of communication from Jeep down to me is ridiculous. How can a company sit on $50k in sell-able inventory and not be arsed to get it into the consumers hands? I bet it's waiting on some crappy Mopar accessory that I will inevitably just tear off and scrap. But, no one wants to tell me anything about the vehicle. I guess there just isn't a sense of urgency when most parties involved know that it's sold one way or another.
When I began this process, I was told two weeks...

With the shit show that is my situation, I can certainly feel for those that have been waiting on custom ordered Wranglers. You have my condolences, and I hope everything is worth the wait!

Best of luck to all

They stupidly use the word shipped to mean built and inspected.

They also use the word shipped to mean shipped.

Your status looks just like mine, except mine started in early December.

So, is this new? Gives you the same info as JC - but without the hassle of providing the same info over and over: https://www.jeep.com/trackyourorder.html#/landing

It looks like there may be a delay in what is reported on this page. I chatted with Jeep today and was told my Jeep was built and currently in inspection. The webpage says it's in production and shows a date of 5/18.

It does show an estimated delivery of 6/9 so hopefully that part is correct.

FYI, order date was 3/15/22

Pigeons? They're all gone. They were scared off by the hundreds of cats. The cats are there, of course, to feed on the thousands of mice that have nested in the engine compartments ;)

thanks according to my SA, "Chrysler has 2 different ways to transport vehicles right now. Some come in train and we get ETA's on them and some come on trucks from Michigan and they just show up without an ETA at all. Yours is being trucked down and it can show up any day now."

I guess thats good news?

I was just informed mine actually left the rail yard in Toledo yesterday (the sales guy corrected himself that it was *scheduled* to leave the rail yard on May 17) but I still have all TBD. I was told by JC the last time I talked to them that it would stay TBD until it got to the dealer. Maybe we're on the truck together?

That's crazy. I don't understand how the communication can be so poor. I fully understand we live in a time that requires patience, but it's weird they can't give an explanation (as you said). I ended up telling the dealer to release the car once it arrives, I purchased a different make/model yesterday.

I ordered at Thunder in Bartow. I gave Lakeland almost 2 weeks to return my call when I sent the order over and he never did. I even called them 3-4 times to speak to Mike and he was never available. So I gave the info to Thunder and they called me within the hour. Drove down and made the order that night.

For anyone interested, I just checked again (8 hours later) and now it's showing "Vehicle Built" on 5/23 so maybe they hadn't updated the system yet. My Estimated Shipping Date has changed to TBD so hopefully it's not later than 6/9.

There is a delay. Shipped does actually mean shipped in my case; I was told on Monday (5/22) by my dealership that mine was shipped. On the new tracking site, it didn’t show the actual ship date (5/22) until today (5/24) even though it provided an estimated delivery date of 6/9.
