I got tired of seeing the reflection from the steering wheel trim on the windshield. I removed the chrome trim ring and installed a black trim ring. I like the new look and there is no more reflection from the sun.

Would you happen to have part numbers for the black trim rings?

Fox 2.5 race series. We bought a set of these from Accutune, but since the are a month or more out, I bought a set off the shelf as well. Had to send the fronts back due to damage, but the rears are working much much better than the factory shocks, even without valving matched to our specific Jeep.
I have my eyes on the Fox 2.0 with remote reservoirs and want to get them custom tuned by Accutune. Only thing is that I'd like to finish my build before getting them tuned. So I'm not sure if there is a decent option for something cheap until I finish the build. Something to go with a 3.5 in metal cloak gamechanger.

I would just get some shock extenders to tide you over. The ride will not be amazing, but it will at least be driveable. Also if they don't have the shocks you want in stock, it seems there is usually a couple month + wait. So I'd think about getting your shocks ordered sooner rather than later. Give them a shout and see.

If you weren't planning on spending a chunk of change on your shock setup, I'd say go ahead and get something a little closer to entry level, but since you're talking about spending some coin, I don't think it's worth the $600 (or whatever) shock layover. IMO.

I've never owned 'good' shocks before these FOX 2.5's, and it is an eye opener how much better the Jeep rides. Like I never want to own budget level shocks again lol.

Just in time to go to work. Finished the JT Fox Shock swap, and the Motobilt spare delete I rerouted the wiring for the camera and tag lights through the vents in the door.

I ordered the part from Mopar Discount parts online. Here is a picture of the part number.

Installed the zautomotive Tazer Mini and front camera yesterday. Working in the engine bay is not user friendly in terms of easily accessing certain areas, just not a lot of open space. The Tazer Lite and camera are pretty trick though and highly recommend them. The most difficult part of the install for me was getting to the driver side firewall plug and plugging in the aux cable into the large plug off of the radio unit. Nice piece of kit, pretty solid instructions. Installing the oem premium twill soft top later today.

@zautomotive.

Can someone explain why the diesels have two batteries when we don’t have the mild hybrid setup? What’s the spec differences?

Part of the auto start-stop system, ESS I believe?

That’s what I thought but why have an entire separate battery? If ESS was disabled (Taser) could you delete the battery for space and weight?

Way above my pay grade. There is a good thread discussing ESS and the charging system in general, I'd go pick those guys brains.

Oh man, I'm sorry I never replied to this; I didn't get a notification that you'd replied. Thanks so much for the part number! I really appreciate it and have one on the way now.
