Through any Jeep dealer, you can get one of 3 upfit (AEV) packages, Level 2 being the most equipment and cost. However, unless you go through an authorized AEV Jeep dealer, you will not get the AEV windshield banner, build plate on the door, AEV stitching on the headrests, and maybe something I am missing. Or, as you prefer to do, get the Jeep you want and buy what parts you desire and install yourself.
I was thinking that those packages (Level 2, etc) were limited edition and only built directly by AEV. I definitely could be wrong. The banner, build plate, etc. are only if it's built directly by AEV and not done by a dealer.

Not to mention, Jeep has used AEV products in the past such as hood and bumpers.

I remember reading an article (in 2020?) about Jeep opening a place to do the same thing. That apparently never happened.

AEV isn't just an upfitter though. They design and build just about everything themselves. And things like their bumpers are well beyond what Jeep would be able to justify doing. I'm pretty sure that nobody else uses hot-stamped boron steel for anything but the most critical safety areas. it's just too damn expensive.
I don't currently know but The Rubicon engineers ended up working there, dunno if they are still there, most likely is my guess...

Yes, Jeep sends all to AEV for their upfits. And AEV dealers will be able to order directly from AEV and get the banner and build plate. I just wasn't clear enough.

Yeah, there are a lot of former Jeep engineers / people working there. I'm thinking that it'd be liberating to not be in that massive corporate climate.

On production vehicles? I didn't realize that.
Call of Duty version was one. AEV's power dome hood and front and rear bumpers. I really wanted one.

I HATED putting on that tie, starting out your day by putting a noose around your neck is a good idea.?

I was lucky I only wore the noose for about 3 or 4 years. I came to realize I was a heavy hitter and could walk in the door after stepping off my Harley and get a job offer. Here I am, sitting there with all those Suits and my Cowboy boots, Jeans, Levi's cowboy shirt, and a Stetson hat. What started as a 9 am meeting with a couple of people turned into all day from a couple to everyone from the IT guys to the CEO asking me if I could start on Monday or even tomorrow...I will think about and let you know!

I remember I was the CTO and sitting at my desk when the Gal to interview for the Director of Network Engineering. My Stetson was in the in-box and my desk was glass, so she looked down at my boots and jeans with holes in them, LOL, and she said I am here to interview with the CTO and will he be here soon?

I AM the CTO. She says nobody else dresses like you on this side of the wall. They are not comfortable in what they do, I AM! Can I dress like you? You sure can all my people dress ever how they want unless they meet with clients, which is rare.

Anyhow she is my wife of 22 years as of this month...when I left she followed me to Dallas...

$113,000 is a lot of money. I bet if a lot of people do the math on what they have in there Jeep they might be shocked. Paid $50,000 for my Jeep and have about $30-$35K more in it, and no end in sight. lol. I'm not a fan of the AEV Jeeps, but it's a pretty turn key off-road vehicle.

An AEV Sport? Wow, they're so insanely expensive that I can't imagine someone doing that.
Well it is the Rocky Ridges that I saw that were Sports. The AEVs seem to be Rubis.

This one is where we purchase my wife's 2024 X. Strangely enough, they wouldn't deal with me on a used 392 so I purchased it elsewhere and they left a bad taste in my mouth.

I am semi taking the approach. I purchased a non-XR package, used 392 that had 6,000 miles and is a CPO. I slapped 35s on it immediately and will eventually build it to a 38-40' package. My shop wants right at 20k for all Teraflex or Clayton suspension/lift, wheels and tires. My buddy did all of his own for about 10k so my shop is charging a lot of labor but they are a top notch shop. Hopefully I can fall right in-between the prices doing some of it myself.
Good luck and that makes sense. There are items on this that I would not pay for, including the wheels which do not appeal to me.

AEV has a handful of wheel options. Unfortunately the one you're looking at wasn't custom ordered by you.

Boron...and plastic. I guess some people like them but I think their bumpers are hideous. Nothing against the company, just ordered their 2" spacer kit for my new JT mojave. I don't like the idea of the upfit "packages" in general as I think they are overpriced and I like being able to pick and choose parts and end up with exactly what I want vs check boxes from 1 source. For those looking for an off the shelf "built" rig it works.
