I’m starting to plan the install of my G900 and want to see how everyone is mounting the rear camera. Does it have a QD connection, something like what Teraflex has for the Jeep’s rear camera?

I’m thinking about mounting above the Jeep’s camera on my spare tire mount.

I have a G930 that is pending install. So far I have only done the pre-wiring for rear and front.
Initially I was thinking of installing the rear camera inside the jeep on the rear tailgate glass window then there were multiple users here reporting that the image quality suffers and the copper heating lines show up on the footage.

I have bought this cheap bracket and intend to use just the first part of the bracket as a mounting area for the camera. This way it stays much pushed out and gives a realistic estimation of nearness (green, yellow red lines).

I was thinking similarly, if I get the license plate relocation bracket.

I am happy with where my license plate is, and I also like the whole wheel to be visible in the rear (aesthetic choice) :) I am hoping that this mount and the camera blends discretely with the matte black wheel

Sorry we don't have QD connection on G900. Just scroll on the screen to change the view.

Placing it on spare tire mount is a good idea. You can also go lower(the rear bumper) or higher(the rear top).

This is the Third brake light option on the Terraflex Alpha HD.

That’s exactly what I was planning on doing, but how do you handle disconnecting the camera when doing a tire change/rotation?

As long as the kid doing the rotation isn't a complete moron he should have no problem. There is a disconnect on the factory camera and the Wolf Box. Pretty easy.

I'll also add that after I put it on there and turned it on, I thought I needed to redo it and shim it up due to the fact it was facing so high. But you can adjust the up and down on the mirror by sliding your finger up and down on the right side of mirror screen.

Yeah, I have the Teraflex on my Jeep already, so was just currious about the Wolfbox camera.

I have a Spartan Rugged Ridge tire carrier on my 2020 JL with an LED brake light. I glued it on with the double faced tape that came with my G900 camera. The camera is hidden, centered and provides a perfect video.

How much do you notice the red glare/glow of your light ring in the mirror when braking? I'm contemplating a similar location but am concerned about the red from my Oracle LED ring.

To be honest, I haven't driven to much at night since I installed the camera, but the few times I have I don't recall and issues on the video coming from the 3rd brake light.
I do recall certain vehicle headlights were so bright they blurred the video.
