In full disclosure, Wolfbox sent us the G900 pro to install, use and provide an honest review. At first we thought it was a scam but once we saw they were official sponsors of the site we decided to take the opportunity. To begin, the communication with Wolfbox was very good. We had several questions and was hesitant because we'd never done anything like this before. We're new to modding and customizing so felt we were a little out of our depth, mostly because of the wiring. I can turn a wrench but wiring with the positives, negatives, grounding etc. really confuse me. Wolfbox sent a couple of videos detailing the install and we said let's do this.

We received the package a few days later. It was very well packaged and labeled. After laying everything out and determining which parts we were going to use for our Jeep we got to it. My wife started running the wire from the backup camera, all along the floor of the Jeep under the carpet, and I started taking off the panels along the grab railing and above the windshield to run the wires from the mirror to the battery. We met at the passenger door panel. Next was running the wire from there to the battery. I removed the passenger side cowl to make it easier, then ran the wire into the hood. Once all the wires were ran, we plugged it into the Woflbox and everything turned on. Note, we did test the Wolfbox using the cigarette lighter before running all the wires to make sure it worked first. The only information I was not able to find was how to connect the red wire to the backup lights to enable backup camera. I did some more research after the install and think I know how to do it now, but just haven't gotten around to it.

The install itself was very simple. We are both very new to this so if we can figure it out, anyone should be able to too. Each bag with the wires has a QR code. The code took us to very detailed videos on the wires, what they mean, which fuse to use, etc. These were invaluable and a very nice touch for Wolfbox to do. Again, I don't think we would have been able to complete this without those, so it is a HUGE plus.

We've had the Wolfbox on the Jeep for a little over a month now. I wanted to wait to do this review until I had used it for a while to get a really good sense of it. Overall I really like it. Sometimes it's hard to adjust your eye when you quickly glance at it. Sometimes I'll see the reflection but most of the time they adjust fast enough to see it's a screen. So that was a little weird at first to get used to. At night, sometimes the lights from the car behind are too much. I've had to turn it off a few times at night because of that, but also because the Wolfbox works really good as a mirror.

We went wheeling on Dec. 28th and I have some recordings which are really nice. However, with only 128G of storage, when we were driving home we realized we lost 2/3 of that trip because the memory ran out and it started recording over itself. We weren't sure how to stop the recording, and going 70mph on the highway we just unplugged it to not lose anymore footage. We've since bought a 512G microSD and are using that now. Getting all the footage to the app was quick, easy and intuitive.

Overall this is a great product. I can see this being invaluable to Jeeps who can't see out the back window, RVs, vans, etc. Definitely useful, from a great company that stands by their products and are great at communicating and helping you when needed. Below are a few pictures.

About the same experience for me. Overall I really like it, only issue is that sometimes it will randomly switch views on me.

A hint for you if interested: I experimented with mine until I settled on its final location. I did try it as the only mirror. I did try it further over in front of the passenger seat (almost), on the dash. I have finalized it in the center, almost directly below my rear-view mirror. I LOVE being able to use both. I am not sure why but there you have it. I did add a small piece of plastic as a sunshade on the extreme right-hand side, wrapping up on to the top to help eliminate side glare from the sun. I can get a daytime pic if you would like.

I am sorry for this unfortunate happenstance. Keep in mind the voice command features. Use "Lock the Video" so your favorite shorts don't get written over. I saved the attached vid near this discussion. (This is when I had it mounted over on the passenger side dash area).

As to this point, you are 100% correct. Here is a quick comparison showing a night shot of rear camera vs rearview mirror with a slightly dirty plastic window:

What did you use to mount it there? We like that and want to give it a try.

I've been looking at one of these just haven't pulled the trigger
You should do it. One thing I forgot to mention is the video quality. It’s excellent, both front and rear.

Currently I am using heavy duty Velcro. I will get a pic tomorrow.
Two things to remember:
-There is/are button/s on the bottom of the mirror so I applied the Velcro to the left and right of them
-On rough terrain, you will get some movement because the mirror/camera is not "glued" to the dash. Hence, your video will appear a little bouncy. I intend to do this when the weather get warmer.

Imagine instead of the Velcro to he left and right, there will be a non-bouncy surface (like a thin piece of wood for example) that the mirror is stuck to, then that is glued onto the dash.

As soon as I get to it in the spring, I will post.

Moisture in the connector to the rear cam can cause the issue. While the rear cam is waterproof, the connector is not. Make sure you always keep it dry. Use some shrink tube+ silicone. :like:

I have a 900 Pro as well and have the same issue with the screen randomly changing. My connector is sealed extremely well since day one. It's almost as if there are phantom touches on the screen because it will randomly zoom/move camera, open settings menu, etc. The "phantom touches" seem worse during cold weather but pretty much disappear once the Jeep/Mirror are warmed up. I love the 900 pro but this is an extremely frustrating issue.
