Can anyone tell me what the dial on the left is supposed to do because it doesn't seem to do anything?

Yes the left is interior lighting. Check in the dark as it is very subtle.

It will adjust the lights in the footwell and cupholder. Some aftermarket lights use it as an input.

The right-side dial has a detent that forces 'daylight' mode. Search the forum for more details.

On my 2019 Sport S, the left dial also controls the lights in the center console cup holders and side door latches.

However, I believe the light from the Milky Way on a dark clear evening has more lumens (lm) than the highest dial setting. Similarly, you can only see the difference of the intensity of this dial while in the dark.

Just like the Milkyway, about ten minutes of pitch blackness should acclimate one to the interior mood lights. Just dont look at your phone during the interim. Or step on the brakes.

Very subtle.

I've never checked to see if the centre console light is the same brightness (dimness).

It spins. It's a dial. That's what it does.
And that's all it does. It does nothing else. Some guys here say it's for ambient or "mood lighting", but the only mood that dial stimulates in me is anger, because it doesn't do a goddam thing.

Thanks! I've messed around and couldn't notice much of a difference
