I ordered mine with the 1st 3 on your list as well as the LED gorup, cold weather, and safety group.

Joking aside (my last post), I didn’t buy the XR. I didn’t want a Mopar lift, with single-rate springs, thin-walled components, etc. I also didn’t think anything above 4.10 gearing was necessary to run 35s on my 2.0T with automatic transmission - and I was right. Instead, I installed a quality 2.5” JKS lift with heavy duty dual-rate springs, Fox 2.0 shocks, and 35x12.50 Falken Wildpeak MTs on the STOCK rims. I have no plans to go above 35” tires here in Florida.

I have the SOT. As an “old” disabled veteran, pushing a button is far easier than the other options to open it up. I love that thing! In Florida, with rain that can pop up any moment, I just push a button, and it works up to 59 MPH. I can also open it just as much or as little as I want.

I did get the leather and glad I did; I previously had cloth in my last JLU. Dog hair and sand are far easier to clean up. I wear shorts all the time; I’ve NEVER burned my skin on the leather, in Florida sunshine and heat.

I added my own tow hitch and wiring harness, because it’s far less expensive and I didn’t need the switch bank (I installed the pod light switch out of sight under the steering wheel).

I like the stock steel bumpers, but they weren’t offered on my JLUR, or my wife’s Sahara. It was one of the options I wanted to order, but local dealers had my JLUR and her Sahara on their lots, without the steel bumpers but with the other options we wanted, for very good prices. I have installed steel front bumpers on both Jeeps, for far less money, and will eventually replace the rear bumpers with steel as well.

If I lived where it’s cold and snows, I would get the cold weather package and the full-time 4WD. Also, my wife’s Sahara has the safety group, and I am a fan of that also (my JLUR does not have that).

The only option I have on mine from your list is the XR package and I don't regret it one single bit.

That said, after driving it around in part of fall and winter so far (and thinking I didn't NEED the cold weather package)...definitely going to add that option in my next one. I underestimated just how much my hands would miss the heated steering wheel lol

My thought is, if you've had some type of cold weather package on previous vehicles, you WILL miss it at some point

What packages are worth it?

The "big ones" you put into your Wrangler that make proximity door locks worth it IMHO.

Skip all those packages and get the Right Hand Drive package as its worth so much it could even save your life !!!
Imagine parking on the street and getting out of your Jeep and them - Bam!!! - you get hit by a truck and your dead
Well, with the Right Hand Drive package the truck would have missed you and hit your passenger instead ! :jk:

OP: I've crossed out the fluff, leaving behind just the hard parts worthy of serious consideration. With that in mind, what is the use case for your new vehicle?

Pretty much eveything,
1 I am a geologist and often work of road sometimes goood roads sometimes not so much like open desert where a solar array is going no roads just sand and rock
2 I surf at 70 years (almost) i like the heated seats option cause when you come out of the water it is freezing...... alos like to go in the snow
3 I like to explore trails often alone and often it leads me to places let say that look like a road but well the last one turned into a stream bed in the sierras with boulders, tight turns and trees had to use the lockers on more than one occaision MY 2018 jlur made it not sure my JTR would have and no way to back out it ended up leading to lake that was deserted except for some old jeep tracks short wheelbas like either cj-5 or a 2 door might make so maybe some rock crawling goes intot hat catergory
so I guess you could say eveything you can do in a jeep
4 daily dirver

I feel like life is too short to see a cool trail and think aww i might not make it this ____ vehicle so iwont try cause ....... case in point the cj7 golden eagle picture was take on a beach south of Big Sur, it was late i was young and poor and along way from a hotel there was dirt road I drove up it down the bluf on the other side and slept in a driftwood wind break on the beach. P retty cool place to camp. You can't go there now though its fenced the road is grown over with coastal brush. you cant even see it.

I view my jeep like a really good tool. A toolthat can get the job done no fuss no muss. Yeah I could get by with a hand saw but why when Ii could use a battery powered makita circular saw.

Sounds like pretty much everything but the Leather and One Touch would be useful for the type of driving you mentioned. :)

XR recon - spacer or spring lift, doable
Cold weather - very hard to make OEM, but could add heated seat covers that are and look cheap
Tow - bigger alternator
Steel bumper - better aftermarket cheaper
Leather - agree
Full time 4 whl - good if live where snows much
One touch - pretty nice ?
I would look at it as, what are my use cases, and what is hardest to put in later.

EDIT: aux is nice also, but it’s also easy to do s-pod or voswitch that have more power and switches.
