I am having the intermittent sound low issue as well, along with my digital speedometer 5mph off from manual dash speedometer. Also can’t shift into 4L at all. Watched several videos and nothing works. Just purchased this 2 weeks ago and very unhappy so far.

So new Jeep JL owner here and have experienced the following items in the past month with my 8.4 inch radio. I'm sure others have the same problems, and wondering if/when they will get fixed.

Issue 1. No sound from Radio.
Fix: Click FM, AM, then it starts working.

Issue 2. Green screen when backing up.
Fix: Resolved on its own after coming out of Reverse, which cycled the camera off/on.

Issue 3. Radio/Controls completely useless with Radio/uconnect stuck on one station and volume. Mute button did not work, neither did anything else. The Screen Off button worked though.
Fix: After about 15 minutes, radio/uconnect went back to normal.

Issue 4. Sound volume very low. Turning up to the max of 30 was similar to around 15 when working. Sub had no sound. Bluetooth call was very low. Button click sounds were quite loud though.
Fix: Powered car off, went and had dinner. Came back in about 1 hour and it was back to normal.

I sold the 2019 Jeep Rubicon JL that I ordered. one year old and 2,500 miles and they couldn’t fix the infotainment system. One day its the sound and the next it’s the camera....tooo frustrating for me. What makes this worse is the fact that they knowing sold me a Jeep with known issues and continue to sell them. Bought a new C7 it can’t be driven in the colder months and it may not go over rocks very well but THE INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM WORKS! I have the mopar tube doors if anyone is interested.

Well I just got back from the dealership and they actually plugged my iPhone in with the exact same chord with the exact same settings on a new Jeep and agreed that somethings wrong there is no bass hardly at all in my jeep and I paid for an alpine system which is bullshit. I waited for them to get back with me in about 20 minutes later he called and said it was an over the air update that caused it. I called Chrysler and they said that is insane that they overhear update would not cause that and it sounds like an amp issue

I take mine in Friday. Right now in addition to the above, the climate control will forget what setting is is on when starting back up. Just did the 20 Cherokee last Friday for its recall of the 8.4 software and now CarPlay does not work.

hey were you able to solve the problem? I've been without any radio/music from 2019 JL and it's starting to get really annoying. The FM/AM thing isn't working. I can't believe so many ppl are experiencing this problem yet there is no solid fix besides replacing the who infotainment system.

Only issue I've had up to this point is Carplay intermittent when connected in the console, but no big deal because it's been pretty solid when connect to the dash port.
BUT, backed out from a restaurant last night and the reverse camera stuck on. Would not close with the X in the top right. Pulled over and shut the Jeep off, camera went off but blue screen stayed on. As soon as I cranked back up, camera is displayed again. It stayed on the whole 20 minute ride home - not frozen but live. Pulled in the garage and did a soft reset (pushed both control buttons on dash for 20 seconds). No idea if that corrected the problem or if it just reset internally, but it went off and functioned normally on a short test ride.
Will see if it reoccurs.

Well took my Sahara in and it looks like the had to order a replacement for my unit. Just have to wait for the new unit to come in and in the meantime document all of my settings.

Yep, that is supposedly the soft reset, but I wouldn't swear that was the fix. She might have just cleared the glitch on her own. Dang women....

Had mine for a year, 1st day of ownership had everything going blank for several miles and just assumed an update since it never happened again and rebooted. The past few weeks, uconnect goes blank or doesn't recognized carplay. It eventually reboots and I'm thinking the dumb warning message you get at startup never showed and within a few minutes uconnect is rebooting.

It's not worth taking it to the dealer yet. They'd probably keep it a few days and since it's random plus it doesn't throw a code, they'd shrug their shoulders and say they don't see an issue.
