Hi guys, I just get the OTD from one of a dealer in IL and need some advice. So, this is a well- equipped Willys 2D, and it has stayed in the lot for approximately 4 months, I know right now we have the employee price, and a midwest bonus $500, and I pretty sure I am gonna negotiate the price, just don't how much price can be defined as a great deal. Hope someone could provide some idea, Thanks!

This works out to about 1% below invoice. Not a great deal even in normal times. And...the fees look high as well.

You should be able to get another $2K off. That's about 5% below invoice.

Need the options to calculate the invoice. $626 for fees? What fees? IL has a cap on doc fee of $300.

It's more the 1% under invoice but can't accurately calculate without options.

Dealer's name is Wickerstorm, haven't done any test drive. we only discuss this through email and text. Btw, the sales give me 42gram last month. However, this month's price is getting higher.
For my condition, I will pay cash and no trade-in. is it possible I could get 20% off MSRP? as this one is $43,005.
Not sure what 42gram is? Sounds like a drug deal. lol. All kidding aside, you need the invoice. Ask the dealer for it. Then you can calculate a accurate discount.

Ask them what the fees are for $626? Are you getting new plates or transferring? Maybe they added together the $300 doc fee plus plates?

Need to ask them what the fees are for? I am guessing they might have lumped the doc of $300 plus the plates? Ask them to confirm.

There's probably $600 left on the table.

You should be around $38,175 + $300 doc + $301 new plates. + electronic plate fee. Are you in Chicago, Cook County? Plus taxes.

I am guessing the $626 is the $300 doc plus $301 new plates and transfer plus $25 electronic plate fee? Ask them to confirm.

There are sites (KBB) which will give you the invoice pricing. Have you taken a crack at computing it yourself? Educating yourself will prepare you to better negotiate. Join treadlightly.com and you'll get another 1% off your best deal.

Hi everyone, I located in Chicago's downtown, looking for a two doors Wrangler, will pay in cash.

I understand the pandemic makes our life difficult (I miss going to the GYM), but it also a great chance to get a good deal.

I am looking for Willys Sport with V6 and two doors, and most of the dealer doesn't have such configuration in their inventory.

What I am asking is, should I wait until the dealer's lot having the Willys Sport, or I could place a factory order right now, consider we can get an employee discount until 04/30.

Also, if I am going to place the order tomorrow, may I able to negotiate the sales price? Like the price has applied the employee discount, which approximately 10% off. Is the price still able to discuss?

Hopefully, someone could provide a suggestion, thank you all and take care of yourself.
See if there is 0%. I'd hold on to the cash if there is a 0% incentive.

Is this the exact build and color you want? Are you emailing them or communicating on the phone? Tell them you are ready to buy. Email and ask them for their final net/net price. Tell them you are ready to buy at net/net.

This is what the sales told me: Doc fee is $300, it is regulated by the state. The other $326 is license and title.

That's what I figured. Email and ask them for their final net/net price. Tell them you are ready to buy if you get net/net.
