Hi everyone, I located in Chicago's downtown, looking for a two doors Wrangler, will pay in cash.

I understand the pandemic makes our life difficult (I miss going to the GYM), but it also a great chance to get a good deal.

I am looking for Willys Sport with V6 and two doors, and most of the dealer doesn't have such configuration in their inventory.

What I am asking is, should I wait until the dealer's lot having the Willys Sport, or I could place a factory order right now, consider we can get an employee discount until 04/30.

Also, if I am going to place the order tomorrow, may I able to negotiate the sales price? Like the price has applied the employee discount, which approximately 10% off. Is the price still able to discuss?

Hopefully, someone could provide a suggestion, thank you all and take care of yourself.

I'd order. It's bound to be completed before a 2-door Willys is delivered for dealer stock. [keep in mind that the factory is closed in any case] I am also a 2-door guy, but 90% of owners have 4-doors, so it will make the arrival of a 2-door even more unlikely. Plus, if you order, you'll get it exactly as you want. Buying off the lot usually includes one or more options you don't want - eliminating some (all?) of your savings.

You won't be sorry for ordering.

You will probably have to order. Check and see if you qualify for Affiliate. You should be able to get around 6% under invoice with Affiliate or Tread Lightly. 6%-under invoice is about 2% better then employee.

I bought my JLR from Jason Beltran when he was at Tyson Jeep. He's no BS and straight to the point, no games. He will advise you on what's a better deal. He works for Hawk Jeep now. It's about 20-30 minutes from downtown.

Here is his cell. 847-393-5262

Tell him I gave you his number. Good luck!

I'm thinking the right time is now. I'm looking at a new 2020 JLUR tomorrow that lists at just over 55 and it now 47.7. It's a 3.6 with towing, LED, cold weather, premium audio, hard top, steel bumper, keyless and same color flares. Can they go any lower?
Thanks

I really think they can and will. They arnt moving off the lots right now. Wrangler will be at 0% for 84 months in May at some point. Everybody just has to be patient.

If those are all options that you want, I'd go for it. If not, I'd wait. Basically it's the need for instant gratification versus waiting for JUST what you want. The answer to "should I buy off the lot?" is always the same: Are you willing to compromise in order to have it now.

Thank you, I will talk to him,
And I noticed your Wrangler comes with 2.0T engine,
How's your opinion of this engine, like the fuel economy and turbo lag?

Note it! I am no rushing to purchase the vehicle,
I might go for the factory order, getting rid of options I don't need,
Thanks~

Long time lurker, new member here. Was going to ask the exact same thing you have. I have to think all manufacturers are feeling this right now and they will want to jump start sales again once this is further along. Fingers crossed for financing specials in addition to discounts.

Total off-topic aside (but in regard to auto inventories):
I just read that Hyundai kept their factories running at 98% capacity during March. As a result, they now have 34K cars sitting at the port. Bad timing.

Kona all wheel drive - great gas mileage, but not so good off-road. :)

Also, bear in mind that with the Fed ramping up the printing presses, we could probably expect rampant inflation. Your dollar's worth today will not be your dollar's worth tomorrow.
