I have ordered a 2dr Rubicon as a DD. I am getting rid of an Audiq3 which is great on gas but no fun to drive. My commute is short so not too worried about it. I also have a Cayman s if I feel like taking a ride to the track. Hoping I have the perfect combo of cars now. My only fear now is that the Cayman will get zero attention but its there if I need it. Love Jeeps, haven’t had one for about 6 months and I cant wait.

I have the rubicon and I love it as a daily driver. Coming from a JK this thing is damn well civilized. I’m seriously impressed with how smooth it is and how anchored it feels. It’s no sports car, but it’s zippy enough and just feels badass to drive. Nothing I’ve ever driving rides like it

Love my JLUR as a DD. It only gets better when the top and doors come off.

That's what super bright and separately switched back up lights are for. Preferably mounted high and pointed somewhat down, so someone would have to be very close for it to bother them.

Thanks for all your input, haha cause I was ready to blow 1k on new tires for comfort purposes...

But if ya'll all claim its going to drive just fine, then I guess nothing to worry about.

(Yes, i'll be one of those driving this car for pure looks, alpha, and aesthetics -- and dont plan to take it off road, hell i live in NYC)
My rubicon is my DD and it rides great. Stick with the stock tires.

Haha so cruel! No it’s more about hanging out next to the Jeep in the blind spot so they can check out how sweet the rig is. Or the random speeding up just enough so they can checkout the front end LED lights.

I swapped my stock Rubicon tires for more aggressive Toyo Open Country MTs 35x12.5x17 on 17x9 Fuel Rims, still a comfortable ride.

On the stock rims and BFGs you will love it.

My Raptor is on BFG KO2s and it rides like a luxury car.

I daily drive my Rubicon and I love it, it's pretty comfortable for me. I've had it for 9 months and already have 15k miles on her.

The ride isnt bad with stock tires, on the highway you have to hold the steering wheel firmly to keep it straight, after 70mph it gets a little loud inside the cabin and the faster you go the louder it gets. Gas mileage I avg around 17-19 mpg. When its windy it'll push the jeep around.

I feel it corners and handles great for it being a jeep, it feels sporty to me, with the 8speed trans it doesnt feel like a slouch either. It's a blast to drive.

I have a hardtop and when the jeep is parked in the sun in the summer, inside the cabin it gets hot and I can feel the heat from the hardtop on my head, and in the cold (winter time) it gets pretty cold inside the cabin.

This is my first jeep and after owning this I feel like I'll always have to own one. It's like nothing else on the road, Its beautiful inside and out, I also like the rugged feeling of it and being able to drive virtually any where, I now look forward having to drive in the rain, driving through puddles, driving over obstacles, curbs, just running over stuff.

Hey guys,

I plan on ordering a 2019 Rubicon in a few months, and also plan on using it as a daily driver...

I do understand that Rubicon is made for off-roading, but do you guys think I can purchase "less" rugged tires and swap my Rubi tires out with them?
I had a Sahara jk and recently bought a JL Ruby, it is better in every way including as a daily driver. You will love it.
