I have read it is a great all around driver for trips long and short. But I wanted to aske if anyone that has one has experienced drawbacks, problems, other? I did a search on this but it was not conclusive, Thanks.

We have two 392s.

Mine is a 2022 that has a 4 1/2" lift, 40s, and PSC ram steering. It drives fantastic but is not a daily driver anymore. It could be daily driven, but I see no point in wearing it out on the highway because I have other options. It only comes out for the more serious rock crawling trails, and I have 25,000 miles on it and it has never had any problems. It has never been back to the dealership. I don't want to give them a chance to screw it up.

My wife's 392 is a 2026 that is stock. It certainly is a dally driver. Most of the time when my wife returns from the grocery store, she has a big smile on her face and thanks me for buying her such a fun daily driver. No problems with this one either, but it only has 2800 miles on it.

The only drawback is in town mileage typically low 11’s, a playful foot can get it into the 9’s. I don’t care, it’s why I got it.
We just took a 600-mile road trip in my wife's 392 Moab. It got 15.8 mpg overall on the trip.

Yep, hwy not bad ~14 around 75, 16 if I keep the speed down a little, uh, that’s if I remember correctly from those rare occasions. 😉, I’m not anal about mileage, but do check current and average mpg. … Overall 15.8 including non hwy not bad at all.
Edit- with MDS disabled

I forgot to mention with MDS disabled. 91-10% is the best available here… and 15% recently approved “So we can enjoy it’s benefits”.
Coming to stations near you. 🤨

Down sides:

1.) Premium fuel

2.) 12.5 - 13 MPG mixed driving

3.) Loud exhaust even in quite mode

4.) Cost (see items 1 & 2 + purchase price)

Upsides:

That lovely melody only a 392 can produce while clawing the ground with all 4 wheels putting an endless smile on your face.

As far as a daily driver, other than items 1 - 4 it is no different than any other JL, just faster.

Same here. I ended up wanting to drive the 392 every day. No problems at all.

Daily it - runs great, drives great, puts a smile on your face.
This. It’s fantastic. We bought ours new in ‘23 and it has been a great vehicle. We bump it around town, have taken it on a few road trips and have had a lot of fun with it. Bonus…it’s fantastic in the snow.

It has been nothing but smiles with every start up and wide open pulls, especially on those unsuspecting drivers on a merging road 😏.

Who wants to daily drive a boring vehicle?

If you are fortunate enough to have the means to daily drive a fun vehicle, do not pass on the opportunity.

Sucky day at work ---> drive fun vehicle home ---> have a great evening with the girlfriend, family, etc.

Sucky day at work ---> drive boring vehicle home ---> guaranteed fight

Take your pick.
