I never worry about mileage when i buy a vehicle. Yet....
I tried it once, after moving and a 130 mi commute with my ~ 11 mpg PU. I bought a Prelude, between maintenance (very unreliable), insurance, and license it proved cheaper to drive the PU. … But I did get the wife a new 02 Lincoln LS and drove her 95 V6 Camry Coupe for 3 years, at least it was reliable.

Comparisons please. Cost, NA vs Boosted, off road capabilities ? A Whipple is available for ~ $10K plus install for 650 (CARB approved) to 705 Hp.
You have to be joking...or just a complete fool - take your pick. Why would anybody with connected brain cells spend an additional $10,000 to make a $90,000 slug brick? Why exactly? You must be awfully insecure to want to say "My Jeep is fast." Unfortunately for you, all that money and my Hellcat will smoke your slug brick all day long any day and everyday. Plus, mine has a MaxCare Mopar warranty. If you buy a Jeep to want to say it's fast - well, you're clueless.

You do need to keep "other" cost in mind. It cost more to insure my 2-door JLR with a 2.0T that it does to insure either of our 392s. Considering the negligible difference in fuel economy the total cost difference isn't that much. I also run premium unleaded or at least mid-grade in our 2.0T

Oh, and by the way since you asked and can't do a Google search yourself, the Rivian R1T, GMC Hummer EV, and the RamTRX are all 4x4s which are faster than the 392. Buying a Jeep to race or call it fast is foolish - they're nice rigs, but they are way overpriced. But hey, you be you and enjoy 4th place and losing 30 to 40 grand after a year or two.

It's still a slug and slower than a number of other 4x4s. Congrats on spending $80,000 just to demonstrate how stupid that is.
compared to what ?
its no sports car and wasn't designed to be.
your probably comparing it to a car your dad owned !

Wow, there sure are a bunch of chest thumpers over the 392. You prove my point exactly. They're not sports cars - nor will they ever be.

Can I pick the track ? The 3A will beat your Hellcat if I pick the track, as it will my V8 Wrangler. Apples to Apples, I saw a comparison 392 / top AMG G Wagon / top X5M a couple years ago. Yep, they beat the 392 in a 1/4 mi, the boosted Beemer barely. Yep, the boosted G Wagon that costs about twice as much did better.
My choice came down to a Hellcat or a Diesel Wrangler, could afford one when the V8 rumors started. A premier off road vehicle that can break into a 12 sec 1/4 mi. … what’s not to like about a good jack of both trades ?

Pretty sure you're just trolling because you're comparing apples to oranges, but a hellcat ain't shit to me. It's useless once it leaves the pavement.

The TRX cannot go where my wrangler can go, neither can the Rivian and Hummber EV.

I don't own a 392.. but I've seen 3 of them that the clutch packs in the transfer case went out.
Usually between 35 and 40k.

Make sure you get the extended warranty on the drive train.

Could be a sought after vehicle some day.

He hasn’t accepted my challenge to race the 3A, do you accept ? Remember, I pick the track, and it’s been upgraded from a 60 Hp Go Devil to a 72 Hp Hurricane, ⚠ consider yourself warned. 😉

When I decided to buy my 392 I did notice the t-case failures which some people experienced. But then I decided that it's a non-issue to me, because mine is under warranty for 6 more years. And if I decide to tune it and void my powertrain warranty at some point, a new 3022 is $999 USD purchased online from mopar.

My racing days are done. Drag raced cars, drag raced bikes, motocross, enduro, motorcycle road racing. Closest thing I get to racing now is when I decide to beat the car next to me to an offramp. Also old enough to know that some races aren't about brute power.

The weak point, but get it out of 4-auto when not on paved or hard surfaced roads as per the manual or excessive clutch wear Will result. .. 24’s got an upgrade with iirc more pressure on the clutches.
