Unbundled the wiring under the dash for the 4 auxilary switches to wire in my GMRS. When I chose the noted wire for Aux 3, orange w/ pink, it wouldn't work. Even after programming on the screen to be battery on. And grounded correctly. But I did get it to work wired to one of the red wires, and on Aux 3. Can anyone explain why the wire specific for Aux 3 didn't work?

Check your fuses, you may have popped one while messing around with the wiring, red is from battery and is always hot.

If you'll see in my photo, I have two small wires that are all red. I do have the two 40A wires, green w/pink & beige w/pink. And the two 15A wires that are orange w/pink & dark blue w/pink. The other two wires are smaller gauge, like the 15A wires, and solid red. So.... it's a bit confusing since I used a red wire and ground to get AUX 3 to work. :/

There’s also an aux wire bundle under the hood about midway down the fender line on the passenger side. I’d be curious to know the colors on those wires since they correspond to Aux 1-4 but do not include the battery positive or ignition positive. It wouldn’t surprise me if Jeep changed the wiring colors. I used a multimeter to double check the wiring just to be sure.

Yep, don't blindly trust those pictures (like I did).
To confuse you more,or if you or anyone has had the Aux Switch harness installed later(not from factory) the wires will be this. Note the difference of amps to wires. Just FYI
