Hey all!

I’m in the middle of an installation for Mopar AUX switches I purchased from Quadratec. The instructions and the Quadratec install video both show a different connector pin-out under the dash than mine. I suppose this is because wiring changed for 25. My light gray inline connector has far more wires than the diagram, and the orange wire is not in cavity 13.

Can someone help me with the correct instructions? I already ran the harness through the firewall so I hope I can continue with the kit I purchased.

Thank you in advance.

I haven’t done this myself as I found on my 2024 Rubicon X the wiring was already present, but no switches (along with the trailer wiring but no hitch). Taking the cubby out, the wiring connector was even clipped in to it.
I still need to figure out the programming.

There was a change to the wiring for 2024, and differences with the orange wire. Some details here :

So you just need the switches for the Rubicon X?If so can you order just the switches or do you have to get the whole kit?Jscan should be able to do the programming.

@Pismo61 - That's what I have found so far, and I think there a few other posts that have said the same. There wire bundle is there in the passenger footwell and the engine bay next to the battery, I was going to see if the dealership would do the programming (for $) when I next went in, rather than buy JSCAN, OBD device and secure gateway bypass/cables (for $$) just for this.

I wonder if the Rubicon X is already programmed?Do you have the switches installed?

I have them wired in, no lights on the switches and no options in the infotainment/head unit. My conclusion is that it still needs programming.

Just the $100 switch, but make sure you order the right bezel trim in chrome for the X.

The 2025 Rubicon X units that didn't come with the hitch and aux switches are wired and equipped just as if they had the full tow package. They're just missing the actual hitch and aux switch. You still get the 240 amp alternator, 700 amp battery, trailer wiring w/plug receptacle, and trailer sway dampening. On the build sheet, it's referred to as the Trailer Prep Package. The build sheet doesn't mention aux wiring, but reports such as those here and elsewhere indicate it's included, too.

I followed the Dirt Road Cred video on YouTube for disassembly of the dash.

The dash part starts at about the 7:57 mark in the video.

Did you have to program the computer if so what did you use?

I gather you do need to program the computer. Next time I am the dealership I was going to see if they would program it at reasonable cost. Otherwise I was going to go the JSCAN, Security Gateway Bypass and OBDII adapter route or Tazer.

The security gateway on my 2026 JLURX is a pain to get to,it is tight. My 2021 Willys was easy peazy.Lots of room for my small hands.Looking at it I may need a pic to unlock the connectors.

2026 Rubicon X
Hi All,

I know this is an older thread but wanted to add to it. My 2026 Rubicon X did not come with the aux switches but did come with tow prep wiring, but no receiver. Weird way to order it. I had them include the switch pkg with my purchase so they could deal with the wiring harness fun.

Well low and behold it had the harness already installed like others. Dealer guys had no clue, nor did the service tech until I pointed it out to him.

Anyways I now have switches, and a harness which is useless to me, although I paid near $400 for it extra.

Anyone interested? Just needs a switch set which are $60-70
