2024 aux kit install help please

I have a 2024 2 door and I'm trying to wire in the aux switches. I got everything hooked up except that orange wire in the passenger kick panel. The plugs and pinouts are different. The aux switch orange wire pin that is supposed to go into the factory plug is too big. There is an orange wire, but I feel it is too small to tap in to. What does the orange wire do? Am I missing something?

Going from memory here from my installation on my 2019.

You should have the plastic box that acts as a bridge between the original wire from the harness and the auxiliary switches. The original wire (square one) from the harness that plugs into the little black box, the wire that goes into the harness (square one) from the auxiliary switch wire bundle, and the other orange bridge wire (long, pointy one) that goes into the other side of the black box.

The orange wire is necessary for the auxiliary buttons. If the orange wire is not connected the auxiliary buttons will not power on. If the orange wire circuit is interrupted because something isn't connected correctly, both the auxiliary buttons and stop/start won't work.

That orange wire was a pain in the ass.

The evil orange wire is the CAN communication IIRC. I had issue with the connector retaining the pin and making contact so I just hardwired it.

Weird....why would they change that? Did you depin the orange wire from the connector yet? You cannot "not use it" - it's mandatory for this install.

It looks to me like you're holding the door harness connector.

I have it all back together so I can drive around, but I was holding the lower of the two plugs in the kick panel in the picture. There is no solid orange wire in the top plug. Neither of the plugs have a black retaining clip to hold the pins in place. Neither have a red retainer on the inside of the plug to secure them that way. I've watched all the videos available but none show the new plug in the 24. The door plug was unhooked in the door net so I'm 100% positive I wasn't messing with that. I can get the female orange pin out of the plug but not the male side. There aren't any wires that are strictly orange in any of the other plugs down there that I can see.

Apparently, the wire harness for he 2024s is different. I, too, have run into the same issue.
Has anyone found the work-around?

I have not. I put a pause on it hoping for some more info to pop up. I'm tempted to take it to the dealer just to hook up that wire.

I'll try to add some data from the <24 wiring, obviously proceed to hunt at your own risk.

The accessed circuit is "LIN BUS CBC 1"

Here's the circuit:

The kit is catching it at connector XY302A where it goes forward to the IBS.

At the IBS, there are two wires, B+ and this circuit (LIN BUS CBC 1):

On a Rubi, the same circuit should exist in the locker switch. Makes sense that Mopar would not use this connection so that the kit was universal regardless of trim.

I just received this the other day from them. I'm going to call and get better confirmation from them tomorrow, but it should be the connector under the kick panel on the passenger side that you had in your initial post. bottom corner right corner of the connector that has the rotational lock on it. should still be the orange wire but I haven't spliced mine in yet. I want to confirm with them since the PDF that they sent doesn't say what color the wire is.

Hello, I have a 2024 JL, I had the same issue, I was able to spliced cav40 (orange wire) , and connected to the can, I had power to the switches panel, and I have all radio configuration , I used JSCAN, but I don't have power to the components, the external lights went I press the aux button.
