Unconnect radio issues

Has anybody else had any issues with the uconnect radio and Apple CarPlay ? I’m on the verge of wanting to sue Jeep at this point because the dealership gives me every excuse in the book in regards to fixing it. The start stop system seems to also be failing @JeepCares

1. Reverse camera guide lines disappear/appear intermittently.
2. Uconnect system will randomly reboot sometimes.
3. Touch screen delaminating.
4. Off road pages App disappear/appear intermittently.

Other than the above the peace of crap is working fine.

You're new here. Take some time to read past posts. Issues have been discussed at length by those who have them.

I received my Jeep back from the dealer today, they installed a new 8.4” UConnect head unit under warranty.

Lets hope points 1 to 4 is something of the past.

Don't forget to check the software version. Unless it's v39.6 or newer, bring it back.

I have a Right Hand Drive EMEA Jeep JLR. The unit is different (Software and functions) than the USA version.

How do you check the hardware version?

Same way as the firmware. Go to the Dealer screen -> System Info -> Radio Part #

I'd assume the latest version of the firmware would still have 39.6 in the Application version, just with a different prefix/suffix.

Yeah, you're good. Last I spoke with a UConnect tech, v39.6 is likely the last version they'll release, since UConnect 5 radios are coming.
