Do you guys have a specific contact? I tried to reach out to the contact here but no reply. I tried UConnect, Mopar and Jeep Customer Care and the dealership. Not getting anyone who wants to assist. When I called UConnect my rep said they've never heard of this issue and basically said too bad. I'm not even sure what I need to purchase if I had to do it myself. I have a 2018 JL Rubicon.

I took mine to the dealership and "I" told them the 8.4 screen is delaminated and wanted it replace under my Mopar Care warranty. Service advisor acknowledged my request after looking up my policy and told me I would have to pay $100 deductible. HINT: tell the service advisor what the issue is and tell them you want it fixed. Don't let them drive the conversation. If your 2018 is still under 3/36 they will do it for free.

I can try again, when I went in they told me it was delamination and said since I don't come there for a bunch of service that they quoted me a replacement (see higher in this thread). They said my warranty expired after a year (or what sounded like that) and then tried to sell me a bunch of other services unrelated to the delamination.

Because I purchased this Jeep used after 1 year and this was my first Jeep purchase they said they were unwilling to assist me. He also said that the display and the radio are one piece so the only recourse is to purchase an entire new radio. The radio is now useless as I can't even turn it on without it flopping between screen and beeping. Still open to suggestions rather than pay the dealer $1258.81 to resolve. I do appreciate your reply though Chris.

Sorry to hear that. There are places that can repair it for half the price.. add a new screen. Do some searches online. I was lookin into this considering… but have not heard of anyone on the forum doing it.

Was it free? Which dealership? Was there a secret warranty?

For those like me that can't get it covered under any warranty, I fixed it myself for less than $40 ultimately (not including your time).
1. Look up video for removal of unit
2. Look up video for disassembly
3. I used fishing line to separate the panels that have the glue
4. I used Isopropyl alcohol to remove all the glue residue
5. I then put it all back together and it was still ghost touching
6. I bought a new outer most screen for $36 off eBay
7. Put it all back together and it works, make sure you don't see any squish spots on screen where it didn't fit all back together right (or that will cause ghost touches)

No new glue is needed, so far it's working. Good luck. Even better if you can get it replaced but I was not so fortunate, they told me to pound sand.

The head unit is covered under the 36K/36 Month warranty. It is also covered under the Mopar Extended Warranty for however long your extended coverage is.

Should be covered under warranty. Try a different dealer.

I got mine replaced right at the end of my 3 year warranty. I didn't have any ghost touches, I just happenned to notice that, from an angle, you could tell the finish was wearing off and it didn't appear to be just in the areas I touched frequently.
