I've had a few 2 doors going back to the 80's, they are really nimble in the woods. Also in a crowded parking lot.

never once, looks are subjective but I personally think the two door just looks funny compared to the four door version...I think the 4-door is much more popular and its not just the practicality aspects

My TJ was (obviously) a 2-door, and I began missing it almost immediately after I sold it. I knew I f'd up. I intended to buy a used TJ when I bought my forever home on the Lake of the Ozarks, but the wife urged me to get a JL so she could enjoy the modern stuff (by Jeep standards). My kids are grown and gone, so an Unlimited was never in contention. I do love my 2-door. Peppy, ridiculous turning radius...proper.

But, I certainly understand the utility of more passenger/cargo space of an Unlimited. I have a truck for utility, though, so I'm good.
I STILL miss the hell out of my TJ. The JL is growing on me, but there was just something with that TJ on 35s that made it perfect.

For those of you that "don't like the look of 2drs"......who hurt you?

It's iconic and what a Jeep is supposed to be. The 4dr saved Jeep's ass in regards to sales - I'll give it that. But it was designed specifically for the soccer moms and it worked! Go enjoy the minivan life, while us 2drs ride around in style

I've had both. Looks wise I love a good built 4 door but the 2 door will always be the og. When you think of the jeep silhouette the 2 door image pops into our head, it's just iconic. I've had a couple 2 doors since the 4 door.

A 2 door TJ winched me out of a tight situation yesterday. Does that make them better? He got a kick out of it and was sure to mention how he doesn't need one of these new/fancy/expensive jeeps :)

I'll never sell my TJ/LJ but I always wanted a diesel in a jeep so I bought the 4dr but I wouldn't have given the 4dr a single look if the 2dr had a diesel option.

The TJ owner who helped me yesterday said he plans to swap an ISF or 4BT cummins into his when the 4.0 finally gives up the ghost. It looked like it had about 300k miles on it lol.

I have been doing the research on the cummins and I will do the same.

I always thought a TJ, or even a CJ with a 4BT would be an awesome diesel conversion. Loud, shaky, but unstoppable! ?
