I want something like this. But our dog is a Newfie, and his crate is WAAAY too huge for that. LOLI had this for my TJ, I loved it. The top was indented so my dog crate fit perfectly in it and she was happy there, it stayed in place. This one looks flat, I don't think things would stay on it.
Since she is an Australian Shepherd, she is an agility dog, it may explain why she doesn't get bothered by the bumps on the (easy) trails we do take her on. I hope you find a solution for your Newfie.I want something like this. But our dog is a Newfie, and his crate is WAAAY too huge for that. LOL
Our Newfie is 21 weeks old, and is already 56 pounds. The bumps don't bother him--there just isn't room. I'm planning to have fun doing agility with him when he's older. My wife plans to compete in obedience, water rescue, and carting. We'll either switch to letting him ride in the back seat or eschew the security storage and keep using his big kennel.Since she is an Australian Shepherd, she is an agility dog, it may explain why she doesn't get bothered by the bumps on the (easy) trails we do take her on. I built my own for my JK, it was great. Kind of a bear to install each year when I took the hardtop off, but looked great. Bolted to the frame using the hardtop screws and covered in black felt to match the carpet.I may end up starting a project and building a rear deck. Although the Tuffy is super nice and I loved the one on my jk
I just called and ordered one. They have 9 left in the first rollout that they will ship on June 1st. Then they will do a second production roll-out that will take some time I'm assuming. In fact, it still says "In Stock" RIGHT NOW. Screenshot after reloading the page just now:

I included with the Security box; Diamond Plated Vinyl, Adhesive, and the Modular Gear Anchors.I just called and ordered one. They have 9 left in the first rollout that they will ship on June 1st. Then they will do a second production roll-out that will take some time I'm assuming.
I have the Alpine group and asked the same question when I ordered it. It will be enclosed in the box. I'm assuming it will be muffled and won't work as well when the box is in. I'll update you when it gets delivered early June. So, what effect does this have on the sub if you upgraded to the Alpine speaker group?
The rear Alpine speaker is a subwoofer, I think the resonance the addition will create will even amplify the bass more, if it makes sense.I have the Alpine group and asked the same question when I ordered it. I’m coming to the same conclusion. Lol.I built my own for my JK, it was great. Kind of a bear to install each year when I took the hardtop off, but looked great. Bolted to the frame using the hardtop screws and covered in black felt to match the carpet.
I doubt I'll build another for the JL. At the end of the day it probably cost me well over $400 in my time and materials.
The lid holds about 200 lbs. well my JK model did. It’s pretty damn sturdyHow sturdy is the lid? Could you stack gear on top of it?
Use the security features below the lid but is the lid robust enough to stack camping gear on top?
