If I'm waiting for my wife with our Newfie and turn off the Jeep and open and close the door (while remaining inside) and lock the doors, even without setting the alarm, the lock buttons don't work unless I start the Jeep or open the door.
Just to stir the pot, my Sahara steering is tighter in 2Hi than 4Hi-Auto. So, there is some difference in there. But it again points to multiple steering problems confounding the issue.
Nobody else is getting even a smaller USB 3.0+ drive to work reliably. Even leaving smaller drives in for days, the player randomly/frequently loses track of which song it is playing when the vehicle is restarted.
Once loaded or indexed, it works "instantly" because it loads everything in to...
Interesting. I'm in Houston too. Temperature doesn't (didn't) affect my steering. It sounds more and more as if the steering issues are like migraines--lots of different causes, with the same symptoms.
Lowering mine from the crazy 57 PSI on delivery to the 37 PSI as per the door label cured 99% of my issues. (It was crazy squirrelly at freeway speeds.) Dealership figured out last 1% was using 4HI auto (Sahara).
I have a JL Sahara. I had the "57 PSI" issue and my 4 door was horribly squirrelly at highway speeds. Once I cut that back to 36-37 PSI, most of the steering issues went away. At the dealership yesterday, they were checking it out. I've thought of the 4HI-auto on the JL Sahara as "AWD", but I...
I took the Jeep out to Sealy yesterday for the cruise control recall, to check TSBs, and to have the bloody wheel locks removed and replaced with normal bolts. (Stupid Conroe dealer put them on, and I was stupid and forgot to check for the key. Neither key nor info card were to be found. Dealer...
I went to the dealer and they said no updates to my uConnect were available. So, there is still no fix for this.
I need a t-shirt when discussing this that says "NO! I do not want to use my phone to play music in my car." LOL
Please post in this thread if you have a solution. https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/flash-drive-issue.6602 It isn't that the system doesn't try to restart where it left off. It is that it is reloading the list of songs and a lot of us have "too many" songs.
Thanks! What did you have done there?
The funny note is my brother, who we visit pretty routinely, is planning to eventually move even further west from Katy, making him even closer to Ryan in Sealy. It is a shape the ones in town have such awful reviews, as we're 1-2 minutes from the...
I'm not sure when I'll have the uConnect TSB addressed. We just moved and it looks like the "best" dealer service location is ~50 miles (~80 km in Quebec) away. But I'll report back after I've done that.
I tried a USB 3.0 flash drive. Didn't work. Same basic problem.
The drive does start playing immediately. But, uConnect insists on (re)building an index file, every single time. It builds a lot faster than before. But is still slow enough to make it forget where it was previously.
I'm hoping...
The USB thumb/SD card size should not be a factor in search/load time. (I'm a software developer, and I deal with terabytes of data at a time with hundreds of thousands of files.) If the "software engineers" are reading at that level in that manner, we need to sell our Jeeps now, because they...
I was walking away from our month or so old JLUS this weekend and noticed something hanging down. At first, I thought it was something like a cable from the tow harness.
I got closer and realized it was a burnt factory (meaning it came on the muffler) sticker on the muffler.
So, if you do...
Does anyone have recommendations for local dealer service departments? I'll need one for the recall(s) and with the extended warranty, it's simpler to just go to the dealership.
Looking at dealerrater.com and Google Reviews, Ryan in Sealy seems to have the best reviews. But that's quite a drive.
Anyone know a place that makes, or that I could talk to about making, door limit straps with wiring that are longer than factory?
We want to be able to open the rear doors wide enough to use a ramp to load our Newfie (150lb dog) into the Jeep. If I can open the doors wider, the ramp will fit...
