I have a 2020 and 2022 WranglerJLU. When I got the 2022, the 2020 had to go to the shop for body repairs. I swapped the wheels before it went to the shop.
I didn't realize the tire pressure sensors were not compatible. No biggie, just ignore the light.
When I put the wheels back on the perspective Jeeps, the 2022 TPMS was fine but the 2020 had an issue. The passenger front never picked up a signal from the tire pressure sensor. Passenger front always shows dashed out regardless of how the tires are rotated.
To confound the issue further, it had a low tire the other day. The display showed the driver front was low, but it was the passenger rear. I put the spare on passenger rear, and the display showed driver front at 36 psi (the others are 30 psi).
SO, not only does the passenger front always shows dashes regardless of the which tire is there, it seems it's confused as to which tire is where.
I've removed the spare and drove it. I've disconnected the batteries to hopefully reset it, but nothing has fixed it.
I haven't reduced the tire pressure to "wake up the sensor", because I don't think it's one of the sensors. Plus they were all recently reduced the 30 psi (from 38 for wear purposes) and nothing changed.
I'm not sure where to go from here other than the dealership. Any ideas?
