  1. 2018 JLU difficult to get into first gear.

No. I have just drove around it. If I anticipate the change of red light and can push the clutch in and wait about 5 seconds, it'll drop right in 1st. If I don't anticipate it right, I just put it in 2nd first, and then into 1st.
  2. J Scan vs Z taser Advice please……..

I looked into a device like that, but it appears to attach in a wiring harness...seemingly the same way I'd do the JSCAN, but maybe there's another way. I've gotta have the OBD port open for the GPS tracking device. I've had the stupid Aux battery fail a few times and was thinking of...
  3. J Scan vs Z taser Advice please……..

Thank you. I had read (or seen on youtube) that it would. It won't?
  4. J Scan vs Z taser Advice please……..

Probably a more recent thread to revive, but this one popped up first. JSCAN will probably do all I need. Tire size and pressure and disabling Auto Start/Stop. However, I need a GPS tracking device that plugs into the OBD port. There's adaptors I've seen, but will both of these devices...
  5. Alternator bolts.

This thing goes up a 14k mountain almost every day. Dry climate, higher heat and higher RPM? Not the best conditions, I guess.
  6. Alternator bolts.

First serpentine belt I've ever had break.
  7. Alternator bolts.

Well, they finally broke loose. Yay original PB Blaster! I was going to delete the thread, but couldn't figure out how to do so. I might have other questions tomorrow, but the main thing is the alternator bolts did finally break loose.
  8. Alternator bolts.

I'm not sure where to post this. My serpentine belt broke today. I am trying to replace it, but I cannot get the alternator bolts to break loose. They broke for the main part, but they are not coming loose. I can feel the bolt twisting as I try to get them loose. They'll break (as if...
  9. Passenger reverse light not working

2018 Sport S. My passenger reverse light isn't working. I figured it was the bulb, but when I got to it, it looked good. I replaced it anyways and sure enough, the light is will not working. All other lights are working. I searched the forum but didn't see this specific issue mentioned...
  10. Knock in rear with Dana 44

Yep. It's starting again and getting pretty obvious. I'm not sure the mileage. I'll be putting an aftermarket carrier in, I guess. Ridiculous they haven't fixed this yet. If you search around this thread, I have videos demonstrating the noise. Look around and before that date.
  11. Knock in rear with Dana 44

They can't recall it. They don't know what's wrong with it. It is baffling they have not figured it out yet. I had my whole rear axle replaced in Nov of 2021. The issue started presenting itself again about a month ago.
  12. 2018 JLU difficult to get into first gear.

No problems in motion None of gears are easy to get into, but first is the worst. Sometimes it won't go unless I put it in another gear first. Once in first, if I keep the clutch pedal engaged, it goes in and out of all with ease. I haven't experienced the vehicle moving a bit. Once in...
  13. 2018 JLU difficult to get into first gear.

I'm still having issues with mine. Shop replaced slave cylinder and bleed the system. Didn't help. Once in gear, if I don't release the clutch pedal, it will go in and out of 1st with ease. If I release the clutch pedal, and engage again, it is difficult to get in first. I've found little...
  14. Steering feels soft

What was the error with the gear box? I don't feel anything is wrong with it. Seems an expensive change just to get that feel.
  15. Steering feels soft

I have a 2018 Sport S and a 2020 Sport S Oscar Mike edition. The steering in the 18 isn’t as firm as the 2020. I don’t feel anything wrong with either. I do prefer the feel of the 20, which is a little more firm. I’ve searched and found a tsb but that seems different. Is this an...
  16. 2018 JLU difficult to get into first gear.

I've got the Jeep back and did some tests. Clutch pedal depressed, it is tricky to get in 1st, once in 1st it easily goes in and out as long as pedal is depressed. Same conditions, 3rd is a little bit catchy, but goes in fairly easy. But once it does go into 1st, 3rd is glassy smooth. The...
  17. 2018 JLU difficult to get into first gear.

Hold off on a write until I know more about what the shop says, but I may do this. That said, if there was an issue that the clutch wasn't completely disengaging (for whatever reason), wouldn't the issue still be present when coming to a stop when the clutch pedal is still depressed? It only...
  18. 2018 JLU difficult to get into first gear.

Seems the shop it's at now is aiming for a clutch replacement as the solution which the extended warranty most likely won't cover. I'll probably have to pick it up and take it to a transmission shop, because I don't feel it's a clutch problem.
  19. 2018 JLU difficult to get into first gear.

I don't feel any other issue with it. It doesn't slip under hard acceleration. Once I was in the snow and I thought the clutch may have slipped, but I have experienced that since so I think the tires were spinning really easily. Only going into first, and only after I've released the clutch...
