That makes things a little clearer for me. Although this may not be as bad as you think. While it is true that prices have gone up, dealers have become MUCH more reasonable in the past 10 months. Several here on the site offering a fair amount below invoice, 10 months ago it was hard to get dealers below sticker in some areas. Maybe the differences will balance out for you?Not worried about the pay off, it's a lease and it has Gap, so that will take care of all the money owed. It's getting the new one at a reasonable price without down grading or putting a ton of money down. I mean 60-71,000 makes for a chunk of a payment .
At any rate, I'm sorry to hear that this happened to you but glad you and your husband are OK. In the end, that's the most important thing.
