Topsy Lift thread

Has anyone had contact w/ Topsy? I filled out their website form to inquire on timing for black brackets and never heard back.

Installed my Racor Lift and yanked the hard top off for the first time, and took her for a spin of course.

Overall, it was a total breeze. The strap in the front could stand to be like an inch longer, so that took a bit of fenagling. You'll notice evidence of my distrust here. I installed 4 eyehooks into the joists and have a ratchet strap hooked from each to the shelf itself, not tight enough to actually do the lifting, but close in case something fails. I also swapped out 3 on each side of the 2.5 inch lag screws with some 3.5 inch that were a bit "girthier" lol. I don't trust it, so I over engineered it.

I think you are confusing Topsy with Toplift Pro. Even with all the material I bought to mount my Racor lift I only have about $275 into mine. Topsy brackets with straps is only $50 and pairs with a $180 Racor lift or any other similar lift/solution.

If I didn’t have a soft top and I had to take my hard top off every time, I would personally rather have the TopLift Pro and a Milwaukee M12 ratchet. But since my hard top gets stored for the summer the Topsy/Racor is a good option.

I did it myself try easily and I cannot recommend them enough. I installed and lifted my top in about 5 minutes. So easy. LOVE their quality and the fit is so uniform that the top is level from the get go. First try. You simply loosen the back hinges on the window and slide bracket in and put the straps 12 inches in on the Racor rack. Now that took some time to install.... but love that as well
