I've got a 2019 Wrangler JLU with around 32k miles on it and my tires are pretty worn down. Is this typical of the OEM tires?

I could've rotated them more often because the current rears are more worn down than the fronts, but even the fronts are pretty low tread depth.

It would shed some light if you stated the make/model of the tires in question, and how much tread depth remains (above the wear bars).

32k sounds like a fairly low service life for highway tires, if that's what they are.

I've got 12k miles on my Nitto Trail Grapplers and with the treadwear being where it is already, I'll be shocked if I get 30k miles out of them.

On the other end of the spectrum, my tires on my Kia lasted 80k miles.

Most tires last somewhere in the middle of that, 40-50k or so. But like NWJeepr says above, it depends on a lot of things. Jeeps come with all different kinds of tires, depending on year, model, factory options, etc, so it's hard to answer your question without knowing what kind you have.

To add to what @NWJeepr said: you'll get about 20% more life out of your tires if you also rotate the spare.

My first JLUR burned through its KO2s to the point where I was thinking I needed to replace them at 18k. My latest JLURD seems to be doing well with the same type of tire (37s this time instead of 33s) at 24k.

Oops, sorry. They are the Goodyear Wrangler tires that come standard on the JLU Sport in 2019.

And I just measured and realized there is a much bigger difference between front and back. So, it is just me not keeping up with rotating the tires.

That's a plus. You want to wear out the OEM tires as quickly as possible, so you can buy bigger ones!

10K miles off-road? Damn! Without mud flaps I'm surprised your door hinges are chipped to hell by now.

I got 56,000 miles out of my OEM 285/70R17 KO2s that came on my JLUR. I am currently have 51,000 miles on my 315/70R17 KO2s and still have 7/32 of tread depth. I have a 5-tire rotation and balance completed every 5,000 miles at Discount Tire and then get a 4-wheel alignment at Firestone at the same intervals. I purchased the lifetime alignment for $199 for the Jeep.

I'm thinking mine will go to at least 50k miles and I do a lot of trails on them. I have done some rotating of the spare but not enough, that would help a little bit. There is no reason to wear out 4 tires and leave the spare looking like new. However if a person did a lot of driving and wore out 4 in a few years they could keep the spare and just buy 4 new ones.

The spare will eventually get tire rot. You're also assuming that you'll never get a different size of tire. Sorry, but that sounds boring.

Always loved the look of the Nittos. I thought about going with them when the stock KO2s wear out but wasnt sure what all would change with them being 8lbs heavier. Grated, the KO2s slide a bit here when the roads are wet lol.

Most factory tires don’t wear long. At your mileage tires should be more than 55-60 percent gone
