If a person doesn't want a Jeep then let them buy a Bronco, it's more Jeeps for us. It's OK if they buy a Toyota too as long as they keep them off of the trails and don't try to kill me with them.

Experience obligates me to disagree. Had a gen 4, OJ’s was a 5 but very similar. Gutless even with a 351, 9mpg, ~85 mph speed limiter, marginal off road at best, Dirt Road Rated even with LSD’s, a 2” lift, wheels and tires (the biggest that would work, 32’s I think). A decent 4WD station wagon with excessive sway…… Real Broncos 67- 71. 72-77 got a severe smog horsepower downgrade , from 205 hp to 140 in 72 and down to 125 hp in 75…. The no smog restrictions 302’s could be upgraded to 325 hp with “just” ford performance parts (also added Edelbrock and 750 DP) experience again. Shouda kept it

edit— left out 66 because only 6cyl but acceptable with a V8 swap…… the 89’s lift with stiffer (snow plow rated) springs eliminated much of the sway for a ride trade off. ?
