A base Sport JL in 2018 was something like 23,000. Base price is now over 32,000. So maybe not 50% but it's up there.
According to car and driver the original msrp of a base sport was $29k. Adjusted for inflation they are far cheaper now as $29k in 2018 is $36,500 now and for 2025 you get power windows and locks standard, aside curtain airbags, 12" uconnect vs the 5" base of 2018. Sure in 2018 you could probably order below invoice for close to the $23k you remember, but you can still do the same with the 2025 and likely get it for $28k.

This is why you should always drop in on a thread you assume is a ditto of 5 billion other like threads…. I was about to bail when all the sudden I was getting a Jeep history lesson…. Since my first Jeeps were CJs it was interesting reading about the earlier models…thanks gents…….
this is why i miss both my grandfathers. One was a corvette fanatic. bought, restored, and sold a bunch . was always interesting listening to him. The other Grandfather lived in Detroit thru the depression, and later the riots. He always had some interesting stories.

This is how it's done...with straight-up, cold hard facts.

Every time a post like this comes up, it solidifies that thread on “you didn’t buy the right vehicle” or something along those lines 😂. Maybe it was by @Tredsdert don’t remember? The wrangler was MADE for off-roading/rock climbing. I truly don’t care who says otherwise, since those who don’t agree will inevitably end up buying something else within a year or two.
@jeepingib this guy just insulted you and your honor

I like how we make excuses for hyundai but stellantis launched the grand wagoneer, 392 wrangler, and the hugely marked up last call hellcats, and the trx in that same time frame. Launching a bunch of near to above 6 figure vehicles drives up the average vehicle price for the brand...who would have thought?
Aldo is as bad as Kevin man makes up his own facts and denies words hes said. Dude hates himself so much he cant not drive a car he hates and comes online to cry about it and tries to make others hate themselves too. Its sad really.

LOL, sorry about that. Gotta give credit to @jeepingib for that thread. I just assumed if someone has something bold to say, it would be @Tredsdert 😂😂😂.

In defense of @aldo98229 plenty of people hate their spouse and talk shit about them at every opportunity but stay married…because reasons. So may it’s…because reasons?

Fun ones!
Stellantis saw the most price increases, at more than double the rate of inflation.

Hyundai is second, due to entering larger, higher-priced segments with Palisade, all-new EVs, and growing the Genesis luxury brand.

GM, Ford, Toyota, Honda, Subaru, VW grew prices at half the rate of Stellantis.

I would expect a better graph and analysis from someone whose occupation is market research. C'mon dawg!
