A Chevy Trax? Could you get a more boring vehicle? I don't think you can. I'd be embarrassed to even say Chevy Trax.
Prius - the vehicle that you'll never see a "I ❤ My Prius" bumper sticker for.

I guess I was more hoping for some responses with experiences along the lines of:

"I use it as a daily driver and it's not that bad"
I use it as a daily driver and love it.

I daily my 23 unlimited rubicon, and take it rock crawling, and love it.

If you hate wind and noise and dirt and unexpected expenses and waving back at people.. get a boring crossover.

How do you go from looking at buying a jeep to wanting to get a lame as trax or an ultra lame maverick.

I’ve driven 2dr Jeeps since 1994, that’s all I have owned and drive daily. My ‘23 JL is by far the most luxurious of them all as far as options. 1 14yo and I haul her and her friends around as needed. No issues, the Mrs keeps trying to talk me into a 4dr but I just can’t get myself to do it. I did test drive a 4xe which I kind of liked due to my 15 mile round trip work commute but again I like the 2dr. It’s an auto for the simple fact that the Mrs can’t drive a standard (tried that quite a few years ago) although I’m in the market to find a CJ that’s not in bad shape that I can do a restoration on and summer drive. If I find one that will have to be a standard for sure. Anyway, you either love the Jeep or you don’t, my old man won’t get in it and go for a drive if the doors are off but doesn’t mind if they are on lol

I’m ready for the next gen jeep to come out so the Trax cross shoppers will go to that forum instead.

I recently bought a JLR, manual. I needed another vehicle and looked at the usual options including 4 Runner, Bronco, Tacoma, Frontier. We also currently have a Subaru, BMW X3, and a Xterra. As soon as I drove the jeep I was hooked. It’s not practical and feels almost irresponsible to buy one but I just love to drive it both on and off road. My only regret I didnt buy one sooner.

I guess I was more hoping for some responses with experiences along the lines of:

"I use it as a daily driver and it's not that bad"

or

"I have a 2-door with kids and I make it work"

or

"manual transmission is good because..."
I don't have the manual, but mine has been my daily driver for the past 5 years and I love it. Yep, the usual Jeep compromises because it wasn't designed to feel good on the pavement, but it's really not bad. On the manual, I have a couple of co-workers with JLs and manuals who use theirs as daily drivers. They love them, too. It's all about perspective and personal preference on what you're willing to put up with. I do hope you find something you like, regardless of whether it's a Jeep or not. ?
