Im surprised one one has mentioned Gobi. I really wanted one but they were out for such a short period. Super rare to see one on the street, though i did see one last week.
my 2018 recon was gobi and it was weird it always looked dirty....I really liked it for about a month then got tired of it.

I just don't see why Jeep's marketing team, with all their studies and polls on what colors sell, doesn't just listen to me. It's baffling.

Hey, very wise going for the rare colors. Only the one Tan, two Grays, but skip the green, there are 4 or 5 of them.

edit- it sure would be grand to have 5 shades of red, not just old fire engine/cracker. Ditto for blues etc, on and on. … at least from time to time more often. How long was Snazzy available, the only other shade of red. Not very.
Long enough for us to grab one!

We could have been happy with Ocean Blue also. Really liked that color. If that had been available, we would have had to flip a coin.

My wife REALLY didn't want the Tuscadero which was recently open when we ordered. Every time she sees one, she has to tell me what an awful color it is. She's really not that passionate about colors most days, so that's saying something. In 35 years, she's pretty much ignored most vehicle stuff, but that and lowered pickup trucks set her off. She calls lowered pickups "a complete waste of a truck" and Tuscadero is "hussy pink".

Dealers order what the public will accept rather than what they desire. As long as people keep buying whatever is on the lot, then the bland colours will remain the majority of what is sold.

Wranglers lend themselves well to bright colours but the buying public is not patient enough to place factory orders that would change the message. Then, as per one comment in this thread, you have the insecure individuals who think a paint colour may endanger their fragile masculinity.

Mojito, Tuscadero, Hydro, Ocean, Fathom, Gecko, etc. are great colour choices. As I’ve said before though, Bikini is and always will be best. YMMV.

Would you prefer the Ford Bronco color palette? It hasn't changed much since 2021.

See, 6 of the 9 options are neutrals. It's ridiculous. I agree that these companies need to start being more original.

I always said Patriot Blue would be the PERFECT color on a Wrangler. Even the name fits. But it took them YEARS to do it, and when they finally did it they changed the name to Fathom. Idiots...

We need more yellows, greens, blues, reds, and mixtures. The "Forged Steel" color on the Rams is gorgeous. The "Molten Red" and "Canyon Lake" colors are equally nice. Why can't we ever get stuff like that on a Jeep??

I think it's cool that Ram came out with the New Holland blue color. Same color as my NH tractor.

To an extent, it's a self feeding cycle. People will buy a bland color that isn't their first choice. They'll skip over bold colors they don't like. So the dealer orders more bland colors. So more people settle for bland colors and buy more of them. So the dealer orders more of them...

Bold colors are more interesting and dealers do stock a few. They know someone will buy them but it's harder to find those buyers. But they're perfectly happy ordering anything you want in whatever color you like because that's a Jeep they can guarantee to be sold as soon as it arrives.

In the end, dealers only really care about moving inventory. They do what they can to appeal to the biggest audience. And that means bland colors for the most part.
