@offcamber

Since FCA is involved and not just the guy's at the local dealership, I will say this again..

Takes what, 3 min to unmarry and remove an programmer and companion module. Why would you be foolish enough to not do...

Please don't rely to the above....

What are you afraid of? It can't hurt the Tazer. Or you worried about warranty? Not worried about that. My SA actually asked which programmer I had because they have people asking for them and he didnt know there was one for the JL. Also, I don't worry about warranty issues. I bring my SA a gift every once in a while. It pays in the long run. They will take care of you, if you take care of them. I've had bent tie rods fixed under warranty. Broken axle shafts on my JK, not a penny out of my pocket. Find out what their favorite drink is and bring them a bottle of it every now and then...never had a single issue getting ANYTHING replaced under warranty. Hell, I had my JL windshield replaced under warranty 3 weeks after I got it because a rock cracked it.
Well, you should consider yourself lucky because that is NOT the norm. I had a driveshaft joint failure denied with 13,000 miles on the odometer because of "scrapes noticed on the skid plates". The driveshaft failure had nothing to do with offroad obstacles but they denied it anyhow. Went to a second dealership and they sat on it for a week with back and forth calls between the dealer, myself, and Chrysler before I finally got word they would cover it for replacement.

The dealers I've had experience with over the last 23 years wouldn't bat an eye at denying warranty coverage for any reason they see fit. Like somebody said, it takes seconds to unplug the module and tazer. Not minutes, seconds. Why not do it?

Not sure that's the norm. My dealer, in 10 years with my JK, has gone above and beyond expectations in covering repairs under warranty.

Retired but working with benefits.
I... put it in reverse and creep backward slowly, repeat the process until my trailer ball is under the hitch.
The backup camera shows the hitch. I get autopark being annoying but why not use the camera?

... Oh, and I still can't return to stock either...keep getting "RTS Failed" errors on the FlashCal.....
I removed and returned our Flashcal after learning the control unit could not be stored in the Jeep. (Can't be frozen for some reason. How stupid is that?) When I returned to stock for removal it said it failed, but the dealer updated the cruise control software a few weeks after and never mentioned anything. The features I had programmed are gone but I have no idea if the computer shows stock or not.

You should really find another dealer. Don't get me wrong, I've seen dealerships like you are talking about but I won't do business with them. Like I said, YOU have to take care of THEM and they will take care of YOU. My Jeep club has all of our meetings at a Jeep dealership. We have a very good relationship with them. We send them a lot of business, they send us new Jeep owner/members and they take care of us. I don't specifically use them because I'm a bit of a drive from them, but it's not hard to form a good relationship with them. I have my local dealer do most of the maintenance, not because I can't do it myself, but because it just cost a little more and it builds a relationship with them. If you've lived in a house for 5 years and never talked to your neighbor and then suddenly asked to borrow tools, he probably won't let you. If however you are seen as more of a friend, he will. Same thing with a service dept.

Hey when you got it replaced was that a warranty you bought separately from the dealer or a general Jeep warranty that applies to all sales?

Great, thanks for the details. Looks like this is a Sport model? Can you also provide your serial number so we can look into the return to stock issue?
As for the module, it does not need to be there for the functions to work, only needs to be present for any programming. Best to put it back for any dealer visits.
@Mike@Powerteq

Also getting the RTS failed error...have an appointment to have my cruise control recall done tomorrow. Hope this doesn’t eff it up. If it does I’ll be very upset with superchips flashcal.

EDIT: Updated using Ignition and it seems to have reset to stock settings.

I unplugged my tazer bipass prior to cruise fix.

They only asked me if I had the proper tire size programmed in.

When they did the fix it didn’t seem to change the TPMS limits or tire size.

I had my cruise done and took out bypass module but forgot to return to stock - no problems with cruise recall and nothing was mentioned. They are a mod friendly dealership so not sure that they really would have cared unless they couldn’t complete the recall programming.

Auto Stop/Start disable does not appear to work still at this time. There is a note that flashes up on the screen that says something like "to completely disable Start/Stop you will need to make modifications under the hood". I think it is referring to the second hood closed sensor that has to be disabled (unplugged) in order to all aspects of Stop/Start to be disabled.

Ether way Start/Stop disable does not work.

I was also wondering if there is a way on any programmer to tell the system to enable LED headlights, or if it is even needed. I have having occasional issues with high beams on my aftermarket LED bulbs that seems to be associated with issues form the canbus.

Adding on to my experience with Flashcal...

Not sure if it is a coincidence but when I "Disable" Start/Stop (which did not work BTW, probably because you need to do the hood sensor also) anyway when I had it disabled, I noticed my remote start would not work. I would hit the button twice like I always did and the Jeep would beep once and that is it. When I "Enabled" Start/Stop again with the Flashcal, the remote start started working again.

Could just be a coincidence like I said...I don't know.

Which headlights do you have?
