Tazer does more, and has just added front camera too
Question......Adding an additional camera sounds really cool......has anyone actually done it? If so I would love to see a write up or a DIY guide.

I have the Tazer and like it. I do like the hand held unit of the Flashcal, looks very easy to make adjustments.

Last night they sent me an update for my FlashCal. Everything works much better now except AutoPark. Still can't disable it. That's the main reason I got a FlashCal to try. Too bad....

I guess I'm going to give up on the FlashCal and reinstall my Tazer.

Glad the updates worked, maybe I am trying my auto park disable wrong but I can put my Jeep in reverse let it start rolling and open the door without it going into autopark - same going forward.

Could I ask you guys to provide specific details as to what you are doing to test this auto park disable?
I want to try ti replicate exact scenarios to see what may be happening in the cases where it doesn't seem to work.

Thanks

I simulated my routine when I'm trying to hook up a trailer. Back up close to the trailer, hop out of the Jeep with the trans in "park" and the door open to check and see how close I am as quickly as possible, get back into the Jeep just enough to put it in reverse and creep backward slowly, repeat the process until my trailer ball is under the hitch.

With AutoPark, I cannot do this. First vehicle I've ever owned where I cannot do this. I must get all the way in, close the door, and it can't be partially latched either it has to be fully latched, then I can select reverse. This is ultra-annoying. The "Autopark Off" selection is set in my FlashCal...but the Jeep still shifts to park automatically at 1 MPH.

Doesn't matter if it's forward or reverse, it shifts to park automatically at 1 MPH.

Oh, and I still can't return to stock either...keep getting "RTS Failed" errors on the FlashCal.

Does the security module up under the dash HAVE to be unplugged for FlashCal features to work? Mine is still plugged in for convenience.

I start the Jeep, put it in reverse and start letting it roll and open the door, I do the same going forward. I can open my door after the Jeep has starting moving in either direction without engaging auto park.

I have my by-pass module plugged in - I would think the only time you would take it off and connect back to the Jeep gateway module is after it is returned to stock.

Great, thanks for the details. Looks like this is a Sport model? Can you also provide your serial number so we can look into the return to stock issue?
As for the module, it does not need to be there for the functions to work, only needs to be present for any programming. Best to put it back for any dealer visits.

Thank you. Can I also ask for your serial and to confirm the trim level of your JL?

Thanks

Here's the serial off mine. It's already been updated once via a targeted update sent to my Ignition software.

Yes, my JL is a Sport Unlimited S package with the 7" UConnect system.

So the bypass module only needs to be installed for programming and return to stock? After programming it can be removed?

OK, we have targeted your device for a new update that will change the auto park disable to a one time use feature.

You can disable it and it will be gone for that run/key cycle.
Next time you shut the vehicle off it will reenabel itself, but should allow you to do what you need with the door open.

You'll also find quite a few new options and functions that have been added :)

Let me know if you have any feedback!

Pardon me, I'm slow and usually need pictures. :) So if you set AutoPark disable to one time use, and it re-enables itself on the 2nd run cycle, how does that allow me to open the door and back up the Jeep in the future? Or are you saying that I'll have to select AutoPark disable in the device each time I need to do this?

If I have to disable it via the device each time, that's not worth it to me. The entire point here is that AutoPark takes away convenience. If I have to do something else that's inconvenient in order to disable AutoPark, it's a moot point.

Forgive me if I misunderstood you. That's why I'm asking to be sure. :) Thanks.
