I believe this is a "live" feature. Do you keep the Tazer plugged in while driving? It worked for me as described, but I did push the button as I was standing still at a light. It then re-connected everytime I went above 30, and disconnected anytime below 30.
Update - it would appear I got this to work from a complete stop. I didn't drive far but got it to at least say it disconnected the sway in 2wd! slightly counter intuitive since the instructions don't specify and the normal sway bar disconnect function can happen moving. either way it's another nice feature to have at times!

My concern with using the after market programmer to change tire size would be warranty/mileage related. If you don't have the tire size reprogrammed, the odometer isn't reading the correct mileage on the vehicle. So, when you unmarry the tazer and reset the tire size, it looks like you've been driving around with larger tires and your odometer is reading fewer miles than are actually on the Jeep. At this point it doesn't seem like much of a stretch for the dealer to say that they don't know how many miles are actually on the Jeep and that it could very well be out of the warranty period. I know this is a negative view and it would depend on your dealer and other factors, but is my logic off here?

Though, I'm still strongly considering the Tazer JL.

I seriously doubt a Dealer down the road would question whether or not the speedo was recalibrated for the correct tire size during a trade but who knows, me personally I will continue to use my Tazer.

I do have a question I regard to say several years down the road if the Tazer fails for some particular reason what happens to the system like in what state would it be in if it failed and you had to buy another programmer, how would you say marry another Tazer to your system with one already married to it

Yeah, I actually got mine from dealer out in Katy. Actually, my Chrysler 200 was crap and their old service manager was the one who got me to initiate the buy back process with FCA. They've been pretty good to me so far, but they're not super knowledgeable on the JL.

Not sure about the second part. I know Tazer has a code you can buy, but I think that's just so you can use an old/second hand unit on a new vehicle.

@Jordon_Taylor

This is incorrect!

For the record, all you have to do is unmarry a programmer and then it can be used on another vehicle. No code is needed...

The activation code that you can purchase from ZAutomotive, unleashes the abilities of a Tazer JL Lite, so it has the same feature set/abilities as the Tazer JL.

Can I get a coupon code?
Discount on the Tazer JL, not the Tazer JL Lite.

You will only get the discount if you buy direct from ZAutomotive.

If you are current or past Military you can get a 10% discount.

Last I heard the forum discount code was not working.

For the same 5% off as the forum discount, this code will work: JeepInformant2

Suggest you buy here:
https://zautomotive.com/product/tazer-jl/

Note: When you purchase, consider going with the two year warranty that costs $20 versus the free 90 day warranty. Just click on where it says "90 days - Free" and you can then select 2 year warranty.

.

By the way, I have nothing to do with ZAutomotive. I'm just a real happy TazerJL user...

Where is the setting to enable the back up camera when you use the turn signal. What version do I need. I just got it delivered today and have 11.0.06 version. Is there an instruction manual that tells how to make all the changes and options. Does anyone have a link to this document?

@Bszczepanski

I've attached the instructions from ZAutomotive in regard to the 11.0.6. 11.0.6 is the firmware that will give the "TurnCam".

TurnCam is only available if you have a Tazer JL. With a Tazer JL LITE , it has to be unlocked to get this particular Live Feature. To unlock will cost you $125.

TurnCam is a "Live Feature" so your JL has to be running for you to be able to turn on or off any Live Feature to include TurnCam.

By the way, TurnCam has beeb found to have lets say some hiccups. Go ahead, have no fear using it but you may experience things like Cam won't turn off automatically when it should... , etc..

HEY .... enjoy your Tazer JL !

@Rhinebeck01 when the camera doesn’t want to turn off what do you do to fix it?

Also has anyone used the Set DVD CD option with the tazer? How did you set it up and will this allow to play videos on the screen so my kids can watch from the back seat?

@Bszczepanski

No "fix" needed. You just have to touch the red X on the right side of the radio screen and the camera turns off.

Cam will normally turn off when turn is completed, but occasionally for some user's it does not.

No big deal to press the X but it should go off automatically every time.

Again, fool with it yourself. COOL FEATURE.. I still use the feature when towing. My guess is in future firmware the hiccup will be corrected.

It’s in the live settings.
