I've read some cases that sound similar to mine, but I haven't been able to find the answer I'm looking for.

Here's the issue:
After installing my Tazer JL mini I have noticed certain things set off a high idle. So far I have only been able to identify one cause, which is directly tied to the security PIN that I have set up.

Example:
If I start the Jeep and begin typing my PIN sequence too fast/before the cluster animation ends, the engine will begin to rev high until I put it into drive or reverse. The engine then comes back down to normal, kinda concerning at first but not a huge issue I guess.

My solution thus far has just been to wait a little before starting my pin sequence.

Today I remote started my Jeep[not my first time] and walked over to the vehicle to find it was idling loud/high[first time] Sure enough this only stopped once I typed my PIN in and put it in drive.

Questions:
Is there a setting that may be causing this issue?
Should I be concerned?

Not sure what else I should be asking or looking out for because it's such a rare event

Open to thoughts/opinions/solutions etc

Make sure you have the latest firmware installed... it fixes pin. I can enter my pin before the ticking starts.

This is probably your problem. Somehow I activated mine and had to go to the forums.
Check the Tazer manual for "Winch Mode". It takes a second for it to respond either going into, or out of Winch Mode.

I would first try the sequence of turning on Winch Mode, then turn it off and make sure the revs are actually back down. Hopefully that would ensure you are not inadvertently in winch mode.

This is good for OP, I already fixed mine.
