Vehicle is a 2021 Jeep Rubicon 392.

The radio’s volume cuts off and on continuously ONLY while the ignition is in the run position. Also, when the vehicle is in reverse the camera/Uconnect display is showing the entire picture; however, it’s only displaying on the left 3/4ths of the screen (see pic).

I have the latest firmware version dated 8.22.22, version “Tazer JL 11.3.9”.

I have unmarried & remarried the Tazer, reset the Uconnect system to factory, (actually, reset both systems several times, the Tazer & Uconnect system), and of course ran the two sleep cycles after altering the settings mentioned below. Also, I disconnected the Jeep’s battery for 2 hours. No positive results prevailed.

What I did. After updating to version 11.3.9 I messed with the rear camera [cargo] settings and some other settings.?. The rear camera setting was to have the rear camera turn on while using the blinker and another setting was to have the ability switch between the front and rear camera, with the toggle selector/icon on the display screen [if I recall correctly] and now there’s two selector sets (again, please see pic). I did ‘play’ with some other settings but don’t recall at this moment which ones exactly, the Daytime Running Lights was one of the settings, anyways… NOTE TO SELF: Only change one setting at a time and Always validate there aren’t any glitches with that setting prior altering or moving on to another setting.

As of this moment the Tazer is still Married; however, is not plugged in, and the issue still remains. This leads me to believe it is a Vehicle Setting, as those settings remain in play even after the Tazer is removed.

Any advice? What setting did I enable/disable or turn off or on (or change altogether) that I shouldn’t have?
Thanks in advance!

@JustinB, Unmarry the Tazer, do a full reboot and perform 2 full sleep cycles (walk away from the vehicle with the key fob for at least 5 minutes each time). If the problem still persists, it isn't a Tazer issue and most likely a defective radio.

I'm curious, did this start the day you installed the tazer, or sometime later?

Any updates? Was this user error or programmer error?
UPDATE: Perhaps User Error.?. Uncertain on that but I did go thru the reboot process a little different...

So, I unmarried the Tazer, went thru the 2 cycles [I actually did 3 this time]. I then left the vehicle alone for a bit, taking the FOB with me, then went back in the Jeep and married it up. All is working Great Now!!! Thanks Much @jludave !!!

(Scott from Z Automotive did get back with me on a separate communication, stating my correct radio size was probably not selected [8.4]. None-the-less, the method/steps I went thru mentioned here fixed it all and I never had to fix the radio size. (I swear I did all that before, except for isolating the FOB & 3 cycles. A mystery it is.?.?.)

It was later. I bought the Tazer a year+ ago. This issue happened when I recently adjusting some settings. I just posted an update above this comment. All's fixed now :)

@JustinB

This issue was a direct result of a process/procedural error on your part.. 99% percent of the time you see such Tazer JL related stories posted here on this forum or elsewhere, it is as a result of a process/procedural error on the part of the Tazer JL user himself...

Take it in stride so to speak. Thanks for coming back here and telling all the end of the story so to speak. Good on your part that you also mentioned ZAutomotive got back to you/was there for you.

Note: I'm not saying it is never a Tazer JL issue ... yes, it could be but not often at all.

Nope. Done with that bullshit.
I've never left the drivers seat while doing the 2 sleep cycles after marrying/unmarrying/making changes/updating firmware/etc.

Never had a problem.?‍♂

For some reason right after I change tire size I get stability control dash light on. Then after setting gear size and full reboot I have both traction and abs dash lights on.

Unmarry tazer, reboot and they disappear

Are you performing 2 full sleep cycles after the reboot?
Yeah I figured it out. So if I set the tire size to max 41.84 it would get stuck and you couldn’t put the tire size lower. And once you click set it sets off the dash lights. Strange. Anyway I just went to the next lower number and set it at that height. No abs or trac lights.
