So I just finished my swayloc, I was running the autolynx and I realized I a little more control when disconnected. I wanted a rockjock antirock but I was worried about the highway driving.

The install:

To be honest, it’s easy but kind of a pain too. Installing the brackets first, and globs of grease made it easy to mount it while in the jeep. ORO provided a install tool, a stud and piece of tubing to install the arms, I used it at first to press it on, but about half way through my dad and I hammered it the rest of the way.

Small note, my tire rubs ever so slightly in reverse and full lock on the air piston, Im not sure if offroad and flexed i’ll rub on it, but from testing it with a jack, it doesn’t seem like it. Just have to slide it around to where it’s sorta perfect on either end. Note, im running 17x8.5 4.75in BS 0 offset wheels. On sport axles -12 offset would be better.

For the air set up, I didn’t want to make the manifold

too inaccessible, so I found a hole to mount it to, and I may have to go back in and rearrange the steel lines so it’s a little more optimal.

Sorta mounted the solenoid on my grimm arb mount, bottom fitting is hard to reach this way but not impossible.
Driving:

It corners very tightly now compared to the stock sway bar, and feels more responsive on turn in, that was expected. But using the soft rate, as someone who was worried how it would feel, it feels great driving around. No more head bobbing or tossing the body around. It just soaks everything now. I haven’t taken it on the highway yet, but up to 60mph, the body roll wasn’t too bad, and I think it’ll be fine. Into a corner, it kinda settles into the roll and hits a point and stops rolling.

So far i also have a clunk, I don’t think I used enough grease during install, I do need to pump more grease which I’ll be do tomorrow and report back.

Nice write up and thanks for sharing! I am interested in hearing some feedbacks on autolynx and if you are selling them?

I love the autolynx. For me, it was more of wanting to not be fully disconnected. I didn’t make the dimple big enough in the fender liners so I had a rubbing issues, otherwise it would’ve been fine. They never made noise and felt solid. I’ve got a buddy who’s interested in them, if he doesn’t buy it from me I’m gonna list it here.

I ran the same setup with the manual throw lever on my old willys. Love the feel of it, hated the fact that I had the same clunk and couldn't get rid of it despite greasing. If you figure out a way, let us know.

Around town feel is amazing. I’m getting used to having a soft front sway bar, but it’s kind of a fun time imo. I’ve been testing chucking it into corners and it’s an interesting feeling having the front inside tire start to slip a little and how the jeep rolls, but stops at a certain point.

Just put some grease through it now, so far it seems that it’s working in keeping it quiet. I’m going to be keeping an eye on it cause driving around it does manage to squeeze some out so far so i’m curious to see just how much is going to glob out.

This is the grease i’m trying, what kind of grease were you running?

I will say though that when I was looking around between antirock and swayloc, Steve’s response to my email and his responsiveness is what got me to be even more interested as i’ve always been interested. Below is a response to my questions about noise etc.

I'm pretty sure it's the latch that was making the sound myself. I had a pretty similar conversation with him. In fact when I sold the old Jeep, I took the system off, so that if at some point I get tired of the Rubicon electronic disconnect, I can put the sway lock on it. I use a pretty similar heavy grease

I did get some squeaking on the bearings, I actually found that changing the torque specs just a little bit on the bolts that hold the mounting clamps for the bar got rid of the squeaking. Could have been a grease thing too

So far mine isn’t squeaking, but knock on wood lol. Maybe I don’t hear the rattling from the latch as much due it being the air actuated version. I hear it very slightly sometimes.

Found a spot im rubbing on, on the spring perch when compressing a couple of inches. Cant really move it back over to driver side since my tire rubs on the cylinder by I also can’t move it to the passenger side any more because i’d run into the frame hole or the spring perch.

Bumping to add more photos, added rear rubi shocks to the front and re-aligned the sway bar. No longer rubs at full lock at ride height.
