Let's just say that for the 2018 they said it's OK to run it with/without windows and for the 2019 they said to run without windows only. Is the argument just what would happen if a warranty claim was filed? Maybe it just took some real-life testing of the top in that position to realize it's not going to hold up to the air pressure.

I'm not gonna argue what the warranty should/shouldn't cover, but I would say that it's not a good idea to run in sunrider with the windows just from personal experience. At least in situations with high speed / windy conditions, you can tell there's too much pressure on the windows to be good for them. Maybe they'll hold up for awhile, but it's just a matter of time.
They are made to stay in. So got to take them out when I roll down my windows too??? Same pressure on them then. Gobsmaked by the stuff said in this thread.

There is no difference in the warnings, cautions, or procedure in the owners manual for 2018 and 2019 in regards to the windows being removed or not.
Oh. All I know for sure is that the info that came with my 2019, as well as the official 2019 owners manual I downloaded from FCA's website, said to do it with windows out only. I was unaware of any other literature for the 2019 that states otherwise.

If you are “gobsmaked” by direct quotes of the owners manual, I don’t know how anyone can help you.

So you are going to ignore all the evidence posted here. Ok, your choice. Cognitive dissonance at its finest.

 Quite true! I'm probably just paranoid, but in certain scenarios I've just been worried crazy that my top/windows are just gonna shred and fly off. I will say, however, that has yet to happen and I have yet to see any sign of damage.

My 2018 didn't come with an owners manual and was the very first soft top delivered/seen/sold at Superior. I guess I can run mine however the eff I want!

This is incredibly ironic.
No it isn't. You just can't seem to understand jeep made an error in 2018 manual, fixed it in 2019 as I showed all over. Companies often make errors in owners manuals for first year product. You are ignoring later up to date information to hold onto your idiotic dogma. Again...if it was not ok to leave windows in sunrider position it would also not be okay to open your windows... simple physics. It was an obvious error in 2018. They fixed it. Why the hell to insist on believing it after they themselves changed it? Wow.

I was actually trying to make a civil comment, still taking the high ground here... All I'm saying is that my owner's manual (as downloaded from FCA as soon as the 2019 manual was available) says windows out first. I did not receive any physical printed material saying different. That material may exist, but until reading this thread I had no idea.

Yep. And the users guide repeatedly states “refer to the owners manual”.
I showed conclusively that the online manual currently up on jeeps site is the 2018 earlier. Please keep up sparky. The page numbers don't match the book I have in my hand which I posted pics of. Rolling eyes, no one can be this idiotic

Dude, how many times does it have to be said? There is no difference in the 2018 and 2019 owners manuals. Not only that, but you seem to have never opened the actual owners manual.

And I showed earlier that the online manual they are saying is 2019, is the 2108 version. How? It was a direct quote from the 2018 manual with page number 146. The 2019 manual only has soft top info in pages 43 and 48. Page 146 is about running the engine in 2019 manual.
