  1. Rear axle noise normal? Clunking noise when spinning rear tires

Called the dealer. They’re not sure if it’s covered under warranty and asked me to bring it in. Said the best they can do is cover a portion (less than half) of the repairs if it’s not covered. not really happy about it, hoping I can work with them to get it done for free regardless of warranty...
  2. Rear axle noise normal? Clunking noise when spinning rear tires

Has anyone else experienced this and if so what was the fix?
  3. Rear axle noise normal? Clunking noise when spinning rear tires

Thanks for confirming guys. I didn’t want to open the diff up or drain yet in in the event the dealership is willing to do something. The jeep was advertised as a certified preowned Jeep but the dealer wanted extra for the certification/warranty so all it has is the original 5yr/60k powertrain...
  4. Rear axle noise normal? Clunking noise when spinning rear tires

Hey everyone. I just picked up a used 2020 JLU w/ 32k mile and LSD and noticed it was making a clicking noise when turning left. I tightened both track bars, the ball joint castle nuts, front and rear lower/upper control arms, and sway bar links but still have the noise. I jacked up the rear...

  8. Death Wobble looking for fix

Id start by re-torquing all of your steering and front end components. Start with the trackbar as that's often the culprit
  9. 4 wheel drive steering "wiggle"

Correct. Only use 4x4 when on a slippery surface such as gravel, sand, mud, large rocks. You can use it on wet surfaces but be careful when doing so
  10. 4 wheel drive steering "wiggle"

Do NOT use 4WD/4x4 when on a non-slippery surfaces such as pavement. You will damage your Jeep. Not trying to sound like a jerk but i highly suggest you take a few minutes and read through your manual on how to use and operate your jeep in 4wd if you're unfamiliar. Start at page 327 -->...

  13. Disable or Change Rear Seatbelt Warning. Too Sensitive!

Good to know, Ive never seen that feature and ive religious read through the manual many times lol. i wonder if its new feature that the 2018s dont have. Is this on your gauge cluster or the 8.4" screen? Sidenote: Does it have a child reminder? ya'know for all those idiots leaving their kids...
  14. Disable or Change Rear Seatbelt Warning. Too Sensitive!

I dont think the JLs have a rear seat belt chime/indicator, i believe that's only for the front. I couldn't find anything in the manual either See page 244 https://msmownerassets.z13.web.core.windows.net/assets/publications/en-us/Jeep/2018/Wrangler_JL/9510.pdf
  15. Loosen Upper Control Arms when Lifting?

I think the issue is it causes stress to the bushings when the control arms are tighten while the vehicles on a lift as the suspension is hanging down much lower than it would in any other situation but dont hold me to it, thats what i heard on the JK forum when i put a lift on and figure it...
  16. Loosen Upper Control Arms when Lifting?

Best practice is to loosen both the upper and lower control arms and rock the vehicle back and forth to assist settling. Make sure this is done with the jeep on the ground and not on jacks or a lift
