Called the dealer. They’re not sure if it’s covered under warranty and asked me to bring it in. Said the best they can do is cover a portion (less than half) of the repairs if it’s not covered.
not really happy about it, hoping I can work with them to get it done for free regardless of warranty...
Thanks for confirming guys. I didn’t want to open the diff up or drain yet in in the event the dealership is willing to do something. The jeep was advertised as a certified preowned Jeep but the dealer wanted extra for the certification/warranty so all it has is the original 5yr/60k powertrain...
Hey everyone. I just picked up a used 2020 JLU w/ 32k mile and LSD and noticed it was making a clicking noise when turning left. I tightened both track bars, the ball joint castle nuts, front and rear lower/upper control arms, and sway bar links but still have the noise.
I jacked up the rear...
Well everyone, after being brand loyal to FCA/Chrysler Diamler my entire life plus owning 3 wranglers over the past 10 years later i've decided to throw in the towel waiting for a steering fix and purchased a 2020 Tacoma TRD Offroad. The quality, reliability and customer service just keeps...
i made a rear cargo trunk/camp bed for more storage and a fully flat surface for dogs and to camp on
I made this on all three of my wranglers and its my favorite mod by far
Do NOT use 4WD/4x4 when on a non-slippery surfaces such as pavement. You will damage your Jeep.
Not trying to sound like a jerk but i highly suggest you take a few minutes and read through your manual on how to use and operate your jeep in 4wd if you're unfamiliar.

I've been contemplating the same unfortunately. at least If you do, per forbes its the next vehicle with the highest resale value.

Good to know, Ive never seen that feature and ive religious read through the manual many times lol. i wonder if its new feature that the 2018s dont have. Is this on your gauge cluster or the 8.4" screen?
Sidenote: Does it have a child reminder? ya'know for all those idiots leaving their kids...
I dont think the JLs have a rear seat belt chime/indicator, i believe that's only for the front. I couldn't find anything in the manual either
See page 244

I think the issue is it causes stress to the bushings when the control arms are tighten while the vehicles on a lift as the suspension is hanging down much lower than it would in any other situation but dont hold me to it, thats what i heard on the JK forum when i put a lift on and figure it...
Best practice is to loosen both the upper and lower control arms and rock the vehicle back and forth to assist settling. Make sure this is done with the jeep on the ground and not on jacks or a lift
Consider yourself lucky, ive never had a Jeep battery last more than 2 years. either in NE or here in Phoenix on any of the three Wranglers i've owned. I just had my ESS battery and alternator replaced on my brand new Jeep at only 7k miles/5 months of ownership. After seeing all the other posts...
