@News2meMine just broke yesterday! Same issue as everyone else. Only 28,000miles! Goes in tomorrow for the dealer to look at it. It better be under warranty! I've had 2 brand new JK's and my current JL.. This will be the first thing that has gone wrong with any of them.
Mine was replaced by the dealer free. I've only had the truck for 2 years 10,000 miles. After talking with the advisor he was surprised it came so quickly. Admitted alot have broken. Not sure if they are doing much to fix the defective part. At least I got a free car wash. The dealer has ordered the new visor. The entire visor. Aparently it only comes as a whole unit. Now I have to look up how to clear the garage door opener.
Not shocking if it were priced like a Ford Fiesta…far less acceptable when these things are priced like entry level luxury drives. At least the fix is cheap…It's a easy fix, search on here. $5 of parts and about an hour of your time and both are fixed and likely never fail again.
You do realize that Jeep is owned by FCA and the F is FIAT which is well know to mean "Fix it AGAIN Tony....." so these sorts of issues should not be shocking.
I love it when Audi drivers buy a Jeep......Not shocking if it were priced like a Ford Fiesta…far less acceptable when these things are priced like entry level luxury drives. At least the fix is cheap…
My wife was driving the Jeep the other day and the sun visor broke while she was driving. Since she drives South in the morning and North in the afternoon, she usually has it out across the side window. While she was driving the visor suddenly fell and would not stay up. I took off the screws that hold it and found that the plastic piece that goes around the metal had broken right at the mount, so now it will not stay in the mount. The visor is currently hanging by the wire on that side if the other side is not clipped and you can't use it at all.
Have an appointment at the dealer this weekend for them to fix/replace under warranty. Currently just under 1 year of ownership and about 17K miles. Will update with resolution from dealer. Just wanted to share if any one else has this issue.
I know this image is not great, but I had enough light to see the issue and did not want to move the Jeep outside for a picture.
@moosey3000This same thing happened to my 2019 JL. My local dealer said it was not covered under warranty since I was over mileage at 39000! Then they proceeded to tell me that it is a very common problem, and that I should call Mopar to see if they will give me a good faith repair. After contacting them they decided that they would not be fixing this under good faith and that I would have to pay out of pocket to get this fixed. I really expected them to come through with this and was very disappointed that they chose not to help.
