Add another broken visor to the list :(. With just over 14k miles on it and it dropped right out of the hinge. I'll be calling the local dealership tomorrow and see what they say. *fingers crossed*

Passenger side fell out when my son opened it. Thought I was the only one. I think I have a lemon with the paint blisters on all doors and hood. The engine/throttle knock on acceleration, the visor falling out, the ball joint knocking in 4wd on short radius turns. Hands down the worst vehicle I have purchased and most days lost to being The shop and all this in 49000kms
Of course the dealership likes to remind me it’s under warranty.

2018 and never had the flimsy visor snap in all these years. Probably because it has been used just to flip up and down only facing forwards. But if you move it out of the fixed clasp - the amount of flex and sway will surely snap the very thin weak plastic internal fitting over time - if not super careful.

So like many others - bought a closely machined piece of metal with a tapered end - and slapped it on to prevent problems. Using the same T25 screw head but a bit longer - and also added some Blue Locktite to match the OEM you see in the pic. This should keep the threads from loosening and backing out once cranked down. Even moving the visor way off to the side.

Feels a lot better than without - but the whole OEM plastic assembly is way under designed and much too flimsy. Even when torqued right down max to remove any play. It is what it is though. But is better to be proactive vs wait for the silly poorly designed visor to snap and drop. Agree also that it is best to remove only one OEM screw - then install the plate and one new T25. Since this keeps the visor pretty much in position when the second OEM is removed. Easy peasy.

Next on the to do list - pot the very poorly designed front and rear locker sensors that inevitably fill with hot axle oil - then short out once metal particles seep in. Yum yum!

New, 2024, Rubicon 392, semi-FE owner...

Has the sun visor issue been addressed in the 2024?

Tried the seemingly identical Motofab Lifts version of this today, prophylactically. Probably more play in the OEM base attachments after placement and longer screws never seemed to gain rock-solid purchase. Went back to stock temporarily. Any suggestions?
