Stock willys rake

Hey everyone, so on my other thread I had mentioned noticing some rake on my '21 JLUW, and I wanted to make a separate thread to gain a bit more insight. There is more vertical fender to tire clearance in the rear than in the front. In searching around here and from what others have told me already, it's normal on the 4 doors. However, I keep seeing images of stock JLU sports and willys where there is equal fender clearance and it sits a tad more level. So whats the deal? Can springs/loads vary, even amongst the same trim? (thats what she said... I'll see myself out). I have the eTorque v6, if that matters. Here is how she sits:

Soft Top vs Hard Top perhaps??

I just checked mine with the hard top, and there is about 1/4 inch difference back to front.

thats what I was thinking, maybe if I had the hard top it would add weight. So then you do have similar rake then? Mine is about a half inch difference (just eyeing it, though).

When I added Rubicon springs to my JLUW I also added 1/2 teraflex spacers to the front to level this off. I got this idea from others on here.

OK so yours had the same thing? I'm first making sure everything is good with it, and then yes, I plan on upgrading with a lift and all of that.

Yes they will vary somewhat. But forget about what you see at your fender area. Measure from either your pinch seam, or rock rails to the ground, both at the front and back. That will tell you how much rake that you have.
Yours looks great just the way that it is..IMO

thanks. Yeah I actually don't mind it... just asking to make sure everything's good and normal just because I seem to see different heights in both pics, and out and about around town.

Not so much from the space in the wheel well but slight nose down looking at the roof/hood. JLU is typically slightly nose down where two door will slightly be nose up.

you mean you didn't notice the space difference in your own willys? If it was nose down, wouldn't that create the same thing I'm seeing? Sorry if I'm confused here...

Mine was similar and Its almost the same Jeep as yours other than I have the hard top. The front and back fenders are different so I wouldn't pay much attention to the space there. Looking at your roof line and hood in the pic you appear to be setting more level than I was.

The reverse rake is worst. Rear being high up to 3/4" is ok as it will level out when you have rear passengers and gear/cargo at the back. If you are level when not loaded, you will reverse rake on full load and drive nose up.. which is inefficient aero wise, and will mess up the headlight beam angle pointing it at the oncoming vehicles.

thanks guys. Sounds like the rake is somewhat intended on the 4 doors. I just got back from a little trip and saw 2 sports parked on pretty flat ground, and both had the rake. I'm not sure why on all of their marketing materials and even some pics online it shows no rake, or equal clearance. But who knows, maybe there was weight in the back or something.

Thanks. What do you mean by the fenders being different... like the fenders themselves are different shaped and all that?
