"Newbe" jeep question: Whats the proper way to measure rake? ...putting a Level on rock rails or measuring the ground to center of outer wheel well fenders (Through center of wheel)? What is the factory rake on a rubicon? I appears to be 3/4”. Can anyone confirm?
Seems about right since most leveling kits (without the rear spacers) measure about 3/4 inch. What is the factory rake on a rubicon? I appears to be 3/4”. Can anyone confirm?
I always assumed the Rucibon rear fenders were higher too, no? I’ve always used the seam between the upper and lower pieces of the fender flares (centered over the axles) as my measuring points for adjusting my coilovers. Seems to look level to me when I set them at the same height front and back. Still undecided on how much rake I want to run though. My thought was to load up all my camping gear, and then set it level. Figure that will give me a little rake when I’m empty.Rock rails, or even hardtop, would probably be the best measuring points for rake. The front fenders of the Rubicon are higher, so only a good measuring point for before and after lift measurements.
I know the rear fenders are a different size and shape between the Rubicons and others, but not sure about height.I always assumed the Rucibon rear fenders were higher too, no?
