I
The track bar is a Yeti XD and the stabilizer is a Falcon. I'd say it helped a little bit in terms of play on the steering wheel but still not great. I torqued both products to spec as well as my ball joints. Sitting stationary, I can turn the steering wheel slightly and see the tires turn properly....I'm guessing steering box at this point. I like finding this stuff out on my own rather than waiting at the dealership for hours and then have them tell me..."Nothing's wrong".
I'm not sure if I'm going to touch the steering box yet though....a lot can go wrong if you mess that up.

Do you have the -AD or -AC/-AB version of the steering box? The part number should be on the top of the steering box. Also, I just read that there is now a -AD version of the steering pump (and if the part number change was vendor change related or a fix - or both). I wonder since the TSB software update for steering is fixing loose steering some of the times (the software is probably compensating if the tolerance is close enough, but not fixing it when the tolerance is way off), then maybe the -AD version of the steering pump would fix it if the software, loose ball joints, new steering box, loose track bar, etc. doesn't fix it.

Good question. I'll have to look when I get home and follow up with you all.

Dealer checked everything and said they found nothing loose and no problems could be found. Said no TSB’s pertained to my VIN. I need to take them on a drive and reproduce it for them.

Check the ball joint cotter pins by turning your steer wheel far to the right and looking in the wheel well. Are the cotter pins perfectly bent or do the look manually bent? If the still look perfectly bent, they didn’t check the torque. Also what is the date code on your steering stabilizer?

I’ll check the pins.

I am confused on the stabilizer discussions. I took delivery in february, but my stabilizer has a “newer code” than some built in June. It is X340L1.

Mine just started doing it at about 27,000 miles. Mopar lift 37” tires. I believe it’s castor. Ordered teraflex drop bracket and steering stabilizer. I’ll post once I get them installed if it helps. Had a JK with a 4 1/2” Metalcloak game changer. Had death wobble until I installed drop brackets.

It may not be newer. It might be last year's Julian date code ...December 6th of 2017 for an assembly date.

And for future reference, it is in the list of Recalls, TSBs, and Issues in the JL forum, which is a sticky topic in the technical section at the very top of the page. https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/forums/issues-repairs-warranty-tsb-recalls.49/
That link only lists a link that points to another thread on this forum. Not very helpful and kind of circular if you know what I mean. Was kind of hoping for a link to the actual bulletin. Tried looking up that number on Google and it only lead to this forum.
